Potentially we could see at least 2 signings coming in with both the number 14 and 17 vacated. As expected a new CB is being sought for (Hopefully not van Dijk), the other position is still up in the air. Sources say we're still looking for a Cork replacement.

probably would have been better to have kept Jack in my opinion , he had a great engine but obviously for some reason doesn't fit Ronalds plans . Great manager but not faultless and the answer to the TV thing for Europa it looks like the return leg against Vitesse may be shown on BT Sport on the 6th August depending on what they decide. Gaston not in the squad tonight so looks like he is on his way. Still think there is a very good player in there somewhere.

Down to two fit senior CBs now, Fonte and Yoshida.
Gardos has had a knee operation after a "serious" injury, according to Koeman. No specifics on the extent of the knock, but if it's ACL, that's his season over straight away.
Saints' season starts for real in 10 days. Defensively, as things stand, they are way short - an injury or a suspension away from playing U21s.
Also, the manager said Ramirez was left out of the Holland tour because he wasn't at the right physical level. Same old Ramirez, I'm afraid.

Just replying to myself: Gardos out for 6-7 months.
Saints haven't had much luck with serious knee injuries in the last 18 months or so: Rodriguez, Forster, Gallagher, Jake Flannigan, Kyle Clinton and now Gardos.
The manager says it's a "priority, to bring in one or maximum two centre backs."

That's really bad news re. Gardos! Think we will buy one, I have a feeling he might promote Stephens as the fourth cb. A little worrying with the quantity of knee injuries too. Anything in it? Or just bad luck?. ramirez needs about a month in the gym from the sounds of it!!
Eds! Any info on available centre backs who's clubs may be willing to listen to offers? Maybe we will push through a deal for vvd now. Potential loans maybe? Any info would be great. Doing a great job so far this season by the way Eds. Ta

SFC do need someone to take the load off Pelle. If he is out injured who would lead the attack?
