Hi All - first post but have been reading for many months. Thought I would give the Eds a break and tell you some bits I know (not guaranteed to happen of course) as opposed to keep asking about shaw and Lallana. We all know NC is long gone and in his words would "never" come back - he wanted Saints to keep moving forward and improving year on year but KL is reluctant to spend more to achieve this hence the fall out. NC didn't want to be part of the direction the club decided to go as the plan now is to continue to invest heavily on youth and make profit once another youngster is ready to come through the ranks.

It is not all doom and gloom however - the new regime have a longer term plan that includes maximum profit.

Luke Shaw - He will go according to my sources. Saints want at least 30 million plus add ons based on success. Saints are happy to be making a huge profit and will only seek a replacement in the region of Free - 3 million as they believe they have an even better player to replace him - MATT TARGETT who is not quite ready to step up. short term plan is an average established left back.

Lallana -Saints would prefer to keep him and are concerned about the sell on clause. they are negotiating with Bournemouth regarding this but the general in house feeling is that Gaston would set up and they therefore already have a replacement. Saints would use the money to spend big money on youngsters home and away

Jay Rod - future was uncertain but due to injury will be staying

Rickie - staying

Fonte - staying

Lovren - Saints would only sell if a huge offer came in and that would need to be 3 times the 9 million verbal offer. they have targeted their centre back staying as a priority

Morgan - similar to the above

The summer plan is to sell Shaw and lallana for a combined 55-60 million and spend about 20. 15 on 2 players and 5 million on youth.

Come the end of the summer I think you will see this post is very plausible

I too will tell you what I know, absolutely nothing which is the same as everyone else apart from those people in the know, know what I mean?.

goodnight.

All this info and you don't even mention Pochettino

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of rubbish. don't think I want to waste my brain cells replying

Agree0 Disagree0

You just did!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done on not replying. Top stuff

Gregg01 your plan spells a return to the dark ages we can kiss goodbye to the Premiership. Seems to me that there are two types of fans at Saints, those who are wedded to a small, provincial club philosophy, with no ambition other than survival in the top flight. And there are those like me who aspire to greater things who want to see the club expanded, a bigger fan base and the creation of a Saints brand. To achieve that we need success on the park, simple.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst I couldn't agree more - this is NOT my plan at all. It is what I have heard to clubs plan is hence NC wanted no part of it. I want what all saints fans want but the facts I have heard are that if the owners wanted to aspire to better things NC would still be here. I really hope my source is wrong but he was right about gaston, wanyama, NC going etc

Agree0 Disagree0

So what you re saying is that KL does not share her father s ambition when she has lashed out over 30 million in each of the last two seasons on new players. doesn't make sense does it, to spend all that money then cash in on her two best assets? How does that help the club as it would be tough not to say impossible for Saints to replace either! I don't know what is going on any more than you do but I have noted that Saints are trying to recruit somebody to deal with supporter liaison which the club badly needs as the rumors have been horrific.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes indeed from what I have been told (and am far from happy about it) KL does not share the same vision and the money she invested was because NC stated that saints would be worth more for it. To be fair he was right! I would love it to be wrong!

The sum plan is to sell to key players? Glad your not in charge of the club, why would we plan to sell them? I know we'll get a large amount of money but if we want to keep progressing selling is not the option, by selling our top players it makes us a less attractive option to potential replacements, so why would we plan to sell?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell to key players? No. I said sell key players that we have developed for large profit. I also didn't say I thought I run the club - I was telling people what I had heard from a reliable source that this is the way it is and the vision going forward to make the business and the owners a profit hence why NC wanted no part of it. With posters such as this no wonder the eds have stopped responding. If this was not the case and saints wanted to progress further NC would still be here. Try reading what is written

Agree0 Disagree0

Gregg01f if your too thick too understand that the second 'too' is a typo, then I very much doubt that any of your above dross is worth paying attention to.
Sell Lallana (won't happen) and Shaw (could happen), then only spend 20 mill all summer afterwards?
Definitely won't happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's just see at the end of the summer. The source I have heard this from said that 20 million with the rest paying off training ground and debt. lallana is likely to go regardless of if I want him too.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mention of the more critical current news of Pochettino.

Wow, you're really plugged into the know. I won't be rushing down the bookies.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never said you were in charge of the club, I said I'm glad your not and there is no way we would plan to sell our best players unless we were in a desperate financial situation which we're not. Don't get upset with me for diagreeing with your post, I can't believe that you'd believe that we want to sell our best players

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not upset with you. This is honestly what I heard from someone who has been so right in the past. Of course I don't want to sell the best players, I love our team, I just thought I would pass on what I have heard. I mentioned the Eds because they are not responding to threads because people complain when it's not what they want to hear

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't say about poch as my contact didn't know anything about that at this time but his view is he will stay. His advisors have advised to stay clear of spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough, I guess we'll see what happens in the next few weeks then

Patrice Evra signs new one year deal with Manchester United.

Why would they pay him £100k per week and Luke Shaw £80k per week to occupy the same spot?

Shaw is staying - COYS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because Luke shaw deal was never going to happen! More rubbish from the guter press!

Daily Fail reports coming through that Ricky Lambert had put in a transfer request early this year. In February he told BelND sports, 'He feels totally disrespected' and so demanded to leave the club at the end of the season.

Sly sources claims SFC brought in a clown for his birthday but it was a complete shambles until 3rd choice goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga stepped in to replace him. Ricky is said to have been distraught because he was desperate to see a magician.

Evening SubStandard claims Liverpool are expected to announce the signings of Lallana (£21m), Lovren (£8m) and Ricky Lambert (£1.5m) on the 1st July.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You see this is why we're really going to miss Cortese. Say what you like about the guy but he knew how to organise a kids birthday party.

Agree0 Disagree0

And you like to call other posts rubbish. Well done!

Some rumours doing the rounds are that Shakira is looking for a transfer from Gerard Pique to Lallana. Apparently she feels Barcelona are yesterday's men, and Southampton are the future of football. Also she saw him in the french connection ads and fell for him. Has apparently written a song about him, will be released imminently, La la la Lallana.
Sounds unlikely I know but I have this on authority from some VERY reliable sources. Watch this space.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I heard the same thing. VERY reliable source. Done Deal! as they say

Hi guys, Everton fan here

Just want to say that keep your heads up, seems every player of yours is being linked with another club, we have had it for years and seems you guys are the new team the press love trying to sell their players

I think a couple may leave but you move on, big loss would be if Pocc was to go but there are many proper footballing managers out there now and you are not afraid go get an unknown from abroard.

Good luck next season, great club with great fans

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks Murphman, appreciate the comment.

Yes, it sucks at the moment. Although Everton and saints have comparable styles and squad, your problem has always been funds. We all hoped with our billionaire owner we would continue to progress with the best players together. It appears that may not be the case now. If the board do not look to progress, we will lose players and the manager, no doubt.

Good luck to you guys, good fans, entertaining team, great manager and board.
