I feel that this summer Ramirez will go to a club in Italy, we will then move for a right winger. Rodrigo from Benfica would be a great signing as can be striker or a right winger.
Osvaldo will go
we then need a gk, cb, and striker.
Les Reed said that the players we want have been decided and who we will sell is probably decided. in players will be sold its more than likely going to be Ramirez and Osvaldo going along with players that are no longer needed guly and others

Les reed said that the club have targets and nothing was mentioned about decisions of selling players, the word 'probably' was mentioned in relation to us keeping our players though.

The problem with Rodrigo is his complex ownership rights. Meriton Capital Limited bought the rights to him in January (?) for 30 million euros. He's more then likely to move on in the summer as the private company will have only brought him for transfer rights, so they'll only sell on for a profit. Zenit have been linked as well. All in all he'd be far to expensive for what he is.

Les Reed said 'Any enquiries we get will probably be met with a ‘no – not for sale' This is fair enough as some players we will be selling (hooiveld, Ramirez Osvaldo) plus every player can possibly be sold if the offer is silly money, eg 40 mill plus add ons for Shaw or whatever but I can't see that happening. He can't state promises that could possibly be broken as he's said he is going to be dealing with transfers. Sales are on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to keep Ramirez, I think he has shown signs that he has adapted to the league, and seems to play well whenever he plays for us at the mo, just needs a good run in the team IMO, he seems as more as a part of the team rather than an individual now as well if you look at the celebrations, I think he could become a key part of our team

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Gaston wants to go back to Italy - he hasn't even changed his Italian plates on his Mustang!

who needs Rodriguez, we had their back 4

Boruc had nothing to do, nearly made a clanger from one of Baines' crosses though!
Clyne and Shaw were brilliant today, both have got to go to brazil. Competition between Chambers and Clyne looks like it's brought both of them on
Wanyama - quality, again. Don't know what people have got against him but we wouldn't have kept a clean sheet without him today. although, with Cork starting no one's got a reason to blindly hate everything he does today
Cork controlled the game, he and Wanyama looked better than Morgan and Wanyama imo - he's got to go to brazil too.
Great to see the youngsters coming through, they look every bit as good as the older players already

overall it was a good performance, hardly looked like scoring ourselves, whether that was due to us being gifted 2 goals or not, who knows, never looked like conceding and completely bossed a game against a team challenging for champions league

Completely agree, and Everton fans can't complain about the decisions they didn't get as we had a few good penalty shouts too! All handballs, also Osman was going to ground before the contact. But anyway good to see us playing so well, couldn't pick from Cork, Wanyama and Clyne a man of the match, as they were all superb! Clyne and Cork for England! IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a shame that will mean the chip papers will have Clyne and Cork in advanced talks with Utd by Monday!

Saints out-played Everton today, great display - Wanyama and Cork - great combo - let's try and get a good result against Swansea next. COYS.

All this time we've been arguing Cork or Wanyama, turns out the answer is Cork AND Wanyama! ;)

Also good to see Harrison Reed today. I admittedly thought this would be a breakout season for him (particularly post january) but he hasn't really featured. Hopefully he can be more involved from here-on in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Usually love to slate wanyama, however he was outstanding today and maybe starting to prove me wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Good team performance today, Davis MOTM for me had a good season

Cork is a bit of a throwback midfielder that has fallen out of fashion a little in recent times. He reminds me a lot of Owen Hargreaves - great engine, busy, getting a foot in, passing the ball neatly, keeping things ticking over.

England don't really too many midfielders like that. I imagine Hodgson sees Henderson or an out of position Phil Jones "doing a job" in such a role, but I think Cork's vastly underrated.

Saints might've stumbled upon a rock solid midfield to take forward into the future: Cork and Wanyama doing the tidy up work with Schneiderlin in front of them. It would need a bit more creativity and penetration in the attacking three to work, though. A proper winger, probably, rather than Davis or Ward-Prowse just sort of filling in from the right side.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cork, Big Vic & Davis all excellent yesterday. Clyne got the Barclays Man of the Match.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a team Clyne Shaw Lovren back four Fonte is great but getting on a bit midfield Schneiderlin Wanyama or Cork then Rodriquez Lambert Lallana jesus top centre back goalkeeper maybe a striker and that's chalenging everbody

Great result to practically sure up 8th place for us, MOTM I thought was Cork, his control of the ball, balance under pressure, and passing was top notch all game. Hopefully it's given Roy some food for thought. All the players brought something to the game, yet again proving why this core of players need to stay together next season.

Also, hopefully a wake up call to ensure we get Corky signing a new contract.
