So we've pretty much secured 8th, as if Newcastle lose to Arsenal today, which they probably will and as Man U beat Norwich we can't overtake them. Personally I'd still like another win to say we've beaten our record points tally and think it would be a big statement for our intentions next season if we beat Man U, keep Gallagher in the starting 11, good to see Matt Targett on the bench too, hope he gets a run out in the next 2 games too same with Reed, think he has a lot of potential, love how he did Baines at the end too! let's see Rowe or Sinclair too we need the pace!

Anyone else think that after les reed stated no offers have been put on the table and if they did we would say not for sale yet the that is the media world still everyday since have said deals are nearly done?

I think he's just saying what the manager is saying, because he obviously hears all the speculation, if in a worst case scenario it all does come true (which I don't think it will) and by that I mean Poch and all our players linked with moves away leave, it's not going to leave us with much of team really is it, so I think he just wants to some stability in the club before committing.

I would think that any player would want champions league football, so can't really blame him for his ambiguous reply. Its not within the realms of possibility that he is gently saying to the club that a pay rise will be in order if any offers come in or he performs well at the world cup. Maybe he wants to see if Poch' stays and how we behave in the transfer market.
