What do people think of Mohammad Salah as an option for the right wing?
Miles away from the team at Chelsea, can't remember how much they paid for him but they might be willing to let him go?

If this gaston talk is true our board is on a joke!!
We buy long for 12mill. Then loan gaston out with option to buy for 6mill? Gaston is twice the player long is by a mile.
Just seems the board a keeping all players that say yes and don't mind not playing champions league football and are cheap wage demands. if all these boxes are ticked welcome aboard.

I have to agree with you Shane Long is not half the player Gaston is. Seems like one step forward and two back all the time , crazy. What a terrible summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh and remember when we got promoted to seasons in a row. I was sat there thinking how come we got rich owners and we ain't bought many players now it is more clear

Agree0 Disagree0

Shane long was very good against millwall. I don't remember watching gaston for 90 mins let alone 90 minutes and thinking he had a good game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Millwall changed the whole team we played there second team basically. And we beat them with our full side so wot does that say? Long is good against a bog standard. Team also as I remember. Wba. And. Hull. And all I see from him there was poachers goals basically a expensive lee Bernard. And for u saying wot has ramirez done well if u Google it it will show that gaston was on par with lallana with goals and assist for mins played I would not say that was bad for someone who hasn't settled

hearing now gaston in advanced talks with sevilla to go on loan
wtf is going on at st marys
going backwards again if this is true
forestsaint

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wouldn't call it going backwards sending him out on loan. He can't make the first team and occasionally makes it off the bench. He is an expensive flop that needs to be moved on, and then re-invest in a couple of Tadic-like players instead.

Ramirez should stay, so should have Osvaldo, so should Sharp, etc.etc.

Perhaps we should open a museum so we could go and look at them sat on a bench-because they were not going to be able to actually play in the first team!

I really can't understand how it can be going backwards if players who have not contributed to the club recently, and are not viewed as being able to do so in the future, are moved on. It is in the interest of the club AND the player that this happens.

If Lambert was still at saints & had played identical games to Pelle no one would have a bad word to say, let's give Pelle the same treatment

Exactly, good point!

Hopefully we can get Alderwield in and hopefully Redmond too, as I don't think we get Townsend without selling Spurs Morgan, so not going to happen. Anyone know where Gallagher's been last few weeks? I heard he had a illness or something?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gallagher has a knee injury. Told someone on twitter he expects to be back soon, so probably not too serious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok cheers, was worried Koeman didn't rate him, as I think he has a big potential

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallagher is going to be good. one day. Hate to say it, but the type of player we need is going to cost money, so let's bite the bullett and get the job done Les.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't rate Gallagher at all, he is no Shearer when he was that age, and doesn't look a prolific goal scorer, then again we have just paid 12 Million for one that hasn't been his whole career. lol

Koeman has revealed that the club are hoping to finalise two transfers by the end of this week. Koeman refused to talk names or positions, but suggested the two players play two different positions. In my opinion we need a winger to cover until Jay is back and another CB to add depth at the back. I think Gaston should get a chance this season, seen glimpses of magic from him but never really given the chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, I don't think it will be Townsend as I doubt Spurs will sell to us until we give them Shneiderlin, so I hope it will be Redmond and then hopefully Alderwield too!

Agree0 Disagree0

Redmond is very average. hope we don't sign him

Jack Cork set for Palace as boss search reaches a conclusion
Jack cork again linked with palace?
This can not be aloud to happen especially for the measly £3m being quoted!!!
Think there will be more fan unrest if he is aloud to leave than there was with any other player that has left this year!!
Rather mogan go if he dose not what to be here and give his place to jack! Also if jack dose go can't see us holding on to jay! Being there best mates!

thats a silly thing to say , if jack cork leaves then j rod will leave as there best mates.
if cork leaves for palace , do you think j rod will go palace too?
doubt that! j rod will still be at a different club .

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, not sure that's how it works, but Koeman has said he plans to keep Corky, I hope he gets his chance to prove his worth as I still think he's one of our best players

Agree0 Disagree0

No! What I'm saying is It might just be the tipping point to convince him that his future lies elsewhere! It was Only a thought no need to get on your rocking horse over it!!lol

Cork was keenish on the move under pulis for first team footy. after pulis left.

Imo we should forget Townsend although I do think he has great potential every1 keeps going on about how selfish he is look at the best players in the world (messi, ronaldo, bale, neymar) u have to have that selfish streak to be the best!?!?!? Although like I said imo we should buy Redmond, alderweireld and look at bringing in another striker but not a necessity until Jan as I would like to see Gallagher push on this year

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Also I would like to ask does any1 know how the club are preparing to pay tribute to the late, great Markus leibherr I was hoping for a stand to b named after him but unless I'm mistaken the club denied that this was their plan. Although I think it would b a great tribute to the man who saved our club and could also b just the thing to help the players gel quicker and start fighting for the club and each other

Don't think they want to name a stand after him. If Katerina does decide to pull out in the near future it would be an uneasy situation to have the Leibherr name plastered all over the place. Stands are normally named after long standing individuals that have been associated with the club for many, many years. They have already said they are going to do something appropriate to show a sign of thanks and respect. I personally would name the stadium after Marcus but that is a personal feeling but unfortunately big business these days does not have a sentimental bone in it's corporate body.

What about yehven konoplyanka great player can play both wings and playmaker 10 role about 13 mill should get him away from the war in Ukraine

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have been saying this for weeks:You build from the back. we all know that, we won't leak goals. The problem is going to come from lack of pace on the break, and this annoying habit of breaking and stopping. Just hope we address this in the next couple of days. Everything is happening so slowly, both on and off the pitch.
