I still think Puncheon is quality and IMO on his day he can be one of the best wingers in the league and was one our best players last season, just think he'd create another option for us on the flanks, then we can Rotate the front 3 of Lallana, J Rod and Lambert with Ramirez, Puncheon and Osvaldo

Unfortunately, his baby was seriously ill, and he moved to Palace as it very close to all of his family so that he and his wife could get plenty of support. If it hadn't been for that, he wouldn't have left.

Hopefully Punch will be back.

According to the tv & Mark Lawrenson in particular, we are in for; Davide Astori 26, CB (Cagliari), Cheikhou Kouyate 24, CB (Anderlecht), McDonald Mariga 26, DM (Inter Milan), Ever Banega 25, CM (Valencia), Diego 28, AM (Wolfsburg).

None of these will be signed as most are past rumours, Mariga is linked purely because he is Wanyama's brother and we have denied interest in Diego who looks set to sign a new deal

Of this southampton team what who would you change
Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw Wanyama Scneiderlin Lallana Ward Prowse Rodriquez Lambert ward-prowse has to play to add passing ability and all that to the midfield wanyama offers protection and schneiderlin is your all rounder

Would like a better replacement for Fonte (not that he is bad, just believe we could do with an upgrade to match Lovren's ability).

Ward-Prowse isn't a nailed on starter for me yet.

I think if we're being fussy we could sign a younger keeper with more potential than Boruc and the same really for Fonte, Forster and Caulker would do nicely! And I agree, not sure JWP is a certain starter just yet nor Wanyama but in time maybe

Wanyama has been a big miss since out the squad he may be abit clumsy at times but he's massive to us result and goals conceded etc since him and boruc have been out don't lie

I wouldn't say schneiderlin is an all rounder, although he gets forward more than wanayama, his main job is to sit and protect but then spread the play and control the midfield, allowing more creative players like lallana to go and play.
Original post - I would agree about better CB to play alongside lovren, then goal scoring midfielder. to ease the burden on lallana to be the main creative force. ramirez has looked to be improving in the last few games but still isn't the consistant starter I think we need.
