Now then Southampton fans. I was on here a few weeks ago. As usual u were all slagging off Celtic and Scottish football. I said Southampton would b luicky to break double figures in points before xmas. Well then ... ur bang on track lads. Note the celtic score tonight. this is why guys like hopper will never sign for Southampton. U will be back in the championship next season without a doubt.. where u belong. We are a champions league team and we are proving its were we belong. we may b in a weaker league but we are bigger more successful and play better football with the greatesty fans in the world. Watch and learn

Believable3 Unbelievable14

Your only in the champions league cos your in the scottish league, any premier team could win the scottish league with ease its so weak.so what you have 4 big games a season we have them every week. i think you might be a secret saints fan as you know so much about us and always writing on are site. birdynumnums

Agree8 Disagree1

You do have great fans and play good football but so do we. It's very hard to come into the premiership and take it by storm as every team has great players. As long as we survive our first season I'll be happy and then build for the next season. Celtic have an advantage as far as Champions league football goes as there is no other team in the SPL who are ever likely to win your league. I hope you do well but You probably won't reach the next round.

Agree5 Disagree0

The only reason anyone on this page was discussing Scottish football was because some Scottish person came on here to slag off Saints. You obviously feel threatened by us in the transfer market. We will watch and learn from potential champions league winners e.g. United, City, Arsenal and Chelsea, who we play regularly, and not some EPL feeder team with a great history but bleak future who are in the champions league to simply make up the numbers.

Agree7 Disagree2

You only won against 10 men, let's see how you get on against Barca

Agree5 Disagree2

This is getting boring, stick to your micky mouse league and keep your opinions to yourself, your literally boring everybody. Id Enjoy your champions league while it lasts if i were you.

Agree6 Disagree3

Who the hell is Hopper??

Agree7 Disagree2

Hmmm, wonder why we slag off scottish football, 3 reasons, 1. cuz it's awful, 2.Celtic fans think they'd cope in the prem but the wouldn't and 3. Mainly due to you coming on to our site and slagging off Saints. SO STOP COMING ONTO OUR SITE! Your come back against Moscow only came after they went down to 10 men, doubt you'll make it to the next round and if you do you'll go out instantly. Pretty sure any of your players would come to Saints if a bid was accpeted, as we're on the up and have already signed some players who would laugh at your offer, so if you want this fued to stop going back to you scottish site.

Agree4 Disagree2

I posted on the other Celtic V Southampton argument and I'll post it on here. Hooper wouldn't want to move to saints as he would not be first choice, Hooiveld wanted the move as he had a chance of being first choice. There are differences between the two sides. But you can't really knock either from the view point of the other.

Also please give up with this 'no double digits by xmas' nonsense... Saints won a game so far beating Aston Villa convincingly. The losses have come against top sides that Celtic would've lost to as well. United, City, Arsenal and Everton would all beat Celtic (at the moment anyway) Just as they managed to Southampton (Even though United and City struggled with us).

The fact of the matter is Southampton are likely to pick up plenty of points this season and I'd argue very likely to pull away from even the relegation battle when they get into their stride which I can't see taking long.

Finally in defence of Celtic, yes, they have an easy pass into the Champions League, but hey once they get there they don't hesitate to try hard and they do leave an impression even though they don't exactly stand much of a hope of winning the whole thing. (No offence intended).

Agree5 Disagree0

Beaten by wigan, slaughtered by arsenal, should've been buried by half time at city, lucky to only concede three at everton, and man u are s***e, going down

Agree3 Disagree7

Man U are s***e? Clearly not much of a genius, we all wish they were useless but United are a top team. They signed an excellent striker in RVP and may well do on to win the league, against City the saints looked very strong, although the pressure was mainly in City's favour, they didn't look too likely to get any more goals than they managed...

Being beaten by Arsenal was a poor performance but every team has an off day. And as for Wigan they came and they played outstanding football at St Mary's. They are an under-rated side (seemingly alike the saints at the moment)...

Give up on this nonsense about Southampton and either post something constructive or don't post at all. It is pointless making judgements on the table at the end of the season right now... I mean in some cases you can begin to see possibility for teams to emerge with certain finishes but for Southampton you've only seen some of the tougher fixtures in the league and they've come away with a win from it as well convincingly over Aston Villa, go wind up the Reading fans they couldn't even beat a Newcastle side refusing to play properly...

Agree3 Disagree3

Can Saints fans stop arguing with the Celtic fans? Celtic play in Europe every year, played in a European final in the last ten years, and have won the European Cup. Celtic are a massive club. We have aspirations to become a permanent fixture in the Premier League that currently look unlikely unless we can find a way to keep clean sheets. Let's concentrate on that, rather than getting into slanging matches with Celtic. It's embarrassing.

Agree1 Disagree6

So you want your Celtic bhoys to come on this page to slag Saints off with no response. You keep turning your other cheek, i'll stand and fight!

Agree5 Disagree1

This is silly, why are we having this argument when we can't expect to be able to compare the two teams in a match for a while? Even then one match doesn't show everything... Also doesn't it seem a bit early to be saying saints will go down? Or to say Celtic will go straight out? Especially given performances so far, Celtic may make it through the group and saints look set to push their way up... Just enjoy the football and stop arguing...

Agree3 Disagree0

Could't agree more with you jock, for some reason southampton fans think they are the bee's knee's, their team has won very little in their history although they did win the johnson paint tin cup lol a couple of seasons ago, how they think they can compare them self's to Celtic is beyond me they are just a mid table championship side at best would't worry to much about them to be honest they are quite a deluded lot,,,

Agree3 Disagree2

,,, and you, cowardly, do not say who you support which may explain your obvious bitterness. I have to admit, though, that i do think Southampton are the 'bee's knee's'. When you arrive on Earth, however, you will find millions of people think thousands of different clubs are the bee's knees! Btw, Saints are defo a Prem team, not Championship, so who's deluded?

Agree2 Disagree4

Seem to remember a recent friendly between Norwich and Celtic. How did that go for you guys north of the border??
On your own site you were full of praise for Norwich I recall, and how they gave you a lesson. Would this be the same Norwich that we love to beat on a regular basis?

Seriously, this twaddle about the strength of the leagues and the Champions League will be shown up in the January window. Your own supporters recognise that once you are out of the Champions League you will be left with shrinking crowds and disatisfied players, a number of who will be sold to balance the books. Yet you were all shouting for Rangers to be killed off. Without competition in the SPL there will be no attraction for either fans or the TV companies.
I can see why you Celtic players are so interested in Saints-your own backyard is going to become pretty dreary!

Agree3 Disagree1

2-2 at home to Fulham another nail in the coffin.

Agree2 Disagree2

At least there is some competition in the prem mate!

Agree3 Disagree2

Sorry, 2-2 at home to Fulham is a nail in the coffin? We played brilliantly with a depleted squad and had a game where not much went our way but still looked like the better side really...
I'd take this game as a very solid performance and really I'm surprised saints didn't win. The international break will now only do us favours as our players get a chance to recover and get back to fitness before we face West Ham on the 20th.

Agree2 Disagree2

I'm not sure I'd call it a brilliant performance. But I'd certainly say that Fulham were very fortunate and Fulham are way better than Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree2

End of the day if Celtic came into the Premiership they would without a doubt attract higher quality players than Southampton. With the vast amount of income and Sponsorship they would be competing with the top teams for players.

No matter what league Celtic play in they are Known all over the globe and have one off the biggest fan bases in the world and have earned the respect of some massive clubs.

You say Celtic are only in the Champions League to make up the numbers. They have so far played 6 games including the qualifiers and lost 0 won 5. Think Southampton fans need to have a look at themselves before they say Celtic are there to just "Make up the numbers" because that is exactly what you are doing in the Premiership.

In the last 10 years. Celtic Rangers, Motherwell, Hearts, Aberdeen have all been in the Champions League qualifiers, yes Celtic and Rangers are the only 2 to qualify but we don't automatically get a free pass into it like fourth place in your league does. So we do EARN our place in Europe.

Update ........... the reason everyone is having a laugh at your expense is because you have the most arrogant and deluded fans in the country. Its been nearly 3 weeks since my post and a lot has happened on and off the pitch. I need to add clueless, arrogant and disrespectfull to the origonal post.
To even compare yourself to celtic is just wrong. They have just gained 4 points from there first 2 games in the group stages of the champions league. Huge respect no matter if your team is from north or south of the border.
As your not used to being in the prem and how it works a little bit of advice for you to pass on to Nigel. Its not the exiting loses to the likes of United and City that will decide if you stay in the prem or not, its the games against wigan, everton, stoke, reading, QPR, west ham, newcastle, etc, that will decide your fate.
You need to focus on each game and find a formation that will get you the result and points you will require to keep you in the prem.
All the managers in the prem will work out your weaknesses and exploit them, the more games you play the easier it will be to work you out. Not hating just trying to give you some friendly advice.

Love the way you know so much about football that you put Everton and Newcastle in the same bracket as relegation candidates.

You think Saints don't adapt themselves? You really are clueless, but above all, very boring.

Agree5 Disagree17

Most Saints fans are none of the things you say and just have the same aspirations as any fans do for their team. We know what it will take and Nigel is learning that too. We can score goals which is a great bonus and now we need to get stopping others scoring right. Simple really.

Agree4 Disagree17

Yes, 'clueless, arrogant and disrespectful' is a reasonable description of your original post. You now demonstrate ignorance and a condescendingly patronising attitude. We were in the top flight of the best league in the world for 27 years and don't need some prat to tell us the blinding obvious. Btw, you conveniently missed Villa off your list but that may explain why you conveniently disappeared for a few weeks.

Agree4 Disagree17

Surely with that extensive knowledge you should be a manager yourself?

Agree2 Disagree18

Hmmm seems southampton have been borrowing money on the quiet, strange that as they never tire of telling everyone they are the 5th richest club in the country, debt free blah! blah! seems not, borrowing on future income i believe its called, oh dear! bang go the parachute payments

Agree13 Disagree0

Clearly know nothing about big clubs or big business. All expanding business cover their expenditure with loans so to protect themselves. I wont go right into it, it would clearly hurt your tiny brain.
