Cortese does the deal not the identification of targets. Adkins also referred to a meeting of the Recruitment dept.

Well actually, Boruc is a good keeper as is Gazzaniga I'd argue. The odd mistake has happened but with a more solid defence I think they'd be more confident and we'll tighten up.

Butland is over priced by Birmingham and really not up to the Premiership. I'd prefer Gazzaniga to him any day. He is a classic example of the media over hyping a keeper just because he's English.
Ter Stegen is a great young keeper. Which means a huge price tag and he doesn't want to leave Germany. So I think that rules him out.
Players like Friedel and Given, while proven at this level, have ridiculous wages and clubs that are reluctant to let them go. Especially Villa to give Given to a close rival.

Craig Gordon is available for a reason. Clubs know of his injury frequency and to be honest what difference do you see between signing him and the signing we already made of Boruc?

Well adkins wasn't in training gear as usual for the conference which is surprising, (possible photo shooting with new signing). An Simon Peach who is an avid Saints fan and journalist tweeted that after the conference-"#SaintsFC tour group has just come into the press room. 'Are you the new Norwegian centre-back?' #newstome" Maybe just maybe!

Wouldn't really want him. I'm not too confident in his abilities. We need someone who's a little more used to playing at a more challenging level. I'm not saying go find some 36 year old but I mean, Dejan Lovren or that Itallian guy... Someone like that we really want.

Since the bust up between baloteli and mancini why don't we we get him on loan, I know a striker is not our priority but he could teach jay rod a few things and having a world class striker wouldn't hurt. Thoughts?

I hope Adkins and Cortese bring in the new faces soon. I know we don't want to pay over the odds but the later we leave it at this point the more games they miss and the less of an impact they will be able to make.
