Harry,s just filled his application form, and waiting for the result at west brom lol, what does everyone on here think about Harry taking over? Personally I think NA should be giving longer to get things right, we need stability in our club. But also we need to stay up,

Believable3 Unbelievable4

This is total nonsense. Harry Redknapp will never take the job at Southampton again. He did an awful job last time and would not get on well with Cortese. Adkins deserves his job and we shouldn't be even having these thoughts of getting rid of him until December earliest and that should only be if we're on less than 10 points.

Agree2 Disagree2

Didn't know 'arry could write-or is that just his story to the Tax Man!

You haven't any idea of what values Saints or their owners have if you really think there is any chance 'arry would be brought back to Saints. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. If you don't understand that you haven't got a clue.
If you are a real supporter, do try and find out a little about the club you say you support.

M8 read the end of my txt, I'm right behind Adkins and the team ok, I do have a clue, just asked for everyone's opinion about array that's all, coz a lot of people talk about him. Keep Adkins and back the team,COYR,

Results haven't gone our way today. Villa and Norwich both won their games so we're now 5 points from safety, looks like we now need the win on Monday. Come on saints it's pretty much necessary now.

It is pretty obvious that November is going to be an important month in Saints season, just as it was 8 years ago. We have had the excuse of difficult games but by New years we will have played everyone. November looks like this: wba(a), Swansea(h), Qpr(a), Newcastle(h) & Norwich (h).

I think we should be aiming for 7-9 points here, the main things being not to lose at Qpr and a win against Norwich.

What does everyone predict?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think we should aim for 12 points. It's achievable with those fixtures and would lift us right up the table. We have the attacking ability to damage these teams and one win may set off a trend. I think at very least we should beat Swansea, QPR and Norwich and gain at least 1 point from WBA and Newcastle.

Wba 4-1 swansea 0-2 qpr 3-1 norwich 0-1 adds up to nil points

Oh forgot newcastle will hammer you.

Agree3 Disagree4

We won't get 0 points out of these games. It's good to see our saints site is so good though it attracts people who support other clubs. Newcastle have not been too great this year so I'm not sure they'll hammer anyone.

Agree1 Disagree3

Honest guess - WBA 2-1 L. Swansea 3-2 W. QPR 2-2 D. Newcastle 1-2 L. Norwich 2-0 W.

Skates - League 1

I think:
2-0 W, 1-3 W, 2-2 D, 2-1 W

Pep Guardiola please..........:)

NA is on thin ice and under pressure, but to panick now and fire him would be cowardice!(unless Pep stepped up). NA/NC have been caught with their pants down, I don't think the transfer market for defenders went as planned this summer. Capped with NA still being a newbie to this level, we have gifted away points. BUT...good points to ponder...all our buys this summer have been great, young and will only get better (all quick and skillfull). Our play is still a joy to watch..... when we get it right....and that is what I want to see! NA has an attacking, passing game that we have become successful on! We have seen it work against the best! I know defence is our week point that he has to address tactically (because personel won't change until Jan). I dont want to be a boring defensive team grinding out 1-0 games just to stay in the prem. We want to attack it with guns blazing! If we go down, at least we will do it with passing ball, tic-tac if we can get that good. It is the way of the future (and a blast from the past)

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I like the core of your text and whilst I agree that further defensive signings could have been useful I do believe the signings we have made have been extremely good. Mainly young players who will improve. I expect we did miss out on some defensive signings but NC will not sign up anyone unless the contract is watertight, and that shows how well he is running the club but may frustrate supporters when he sticks to his principles.

Nigel made an extremely valid point in his press conference this week, that the project with Saints is a work in progress and will not bring instant success. Quite simply, the club is aiming very high and to get there will be more difficult than aiming low. Let's be patient because once we start moving forward again I truly believe there are some exciting times ahead.

All I will say is look at the stats for the last 5 games and show me how the attacking, flowing football quote adds up. Played well in the second half against Tottenham agreed but why does it take until the half time team talk to change it. Start with it. Happened alot of times last season and people applauded Nigel for changing it around at half time. The game is 90 minutes. Spurs murdered us in the first half and could have been 5 up at the break, but no all we got in the post match interview was that we ran out of time. We were the home side and never had one shot off target let alone on target and that I think at the end of the season that stat will be a record for a home side in the premier league. The clock is ticking so let's not be loyal let's be sensible and try to deal with things now before it is beyond us.

Ramirez and Cork are apparently returning for the WBA game. What team do we want to see fielded against WBA and what are we predicting the result to be?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Goalkeeper, defender, defender, defender, defender, defender, defender, defender,
defender, defender, defender, defender, and still lose 0-3.

Agree3 Disagree3

I would settle for a point against West Brom. If we were able to get a draw, it may give the team a boost in morale leading into an important month with games against Swansea, Norwich, QPR and Newcastle. This is the month where we turn it round!

Agree0 Disagree5

I reckon if we field our strongest side and actually play from the start this game then we can secure 3 points. Keep Do Prado out and bring on Mayuka late again to do late damage to the defence of the opposition. May be a bit optimistic but I could see us taking it by a score WBA 1-3 Saints.

Gazzanigga
Clyne fonte yoshida fox

Davis Schneiderlin JWP

Mayuka Lallana

Lambert

Bench:
Davis
Hooiveld
Reeves
Cork
Ramirez
Puncheon
Rodriguez

Think Ramirez and cork on the hour, baring in mind cork got reinjured in the cup so shouldn't be rushed back. Swansea and the rest if this month is more important. Ramirez from the bench for the same reason. Didn't see Reeves against Leeds but would like to see if he is better than fox.

By Swansea I would have cork for JWP and Ramirez for Mayuka.
