I really hope it's nothing too bad just a rough knock or something... He's a key player we can't afford to lose him before the season even gets going :/

I have a hunch that a centre back hasn't arrived yet because the one NA is intent on signing is still playing in the Olympic tournament most likely to be Maya Yoshida.. fingers crossed anyway

Even if it's not him a player could've returned too soon that a deal has not been completed yet

Not a rumour;
Who do we think is the best striker we've got? I'm fairly sure I can guess what the response will be but...
Ricky Lambert
Jay Rodriguez
Billy Sharp
Tadanari Lee
Guly Do Prado (Technically not a striker but still)
(Technically speaking we also have Barnard, Forte and the youth strikers but I'm not counting them as Barnard and Forte are on the way out and we don't really know how good our youth players are yet).
My view is Jay Rodriguez, he's young, he has pace, he has great vision and is a top quality finisher, he also plays well as a support and seems flexible and capable in the challenge. I doubt he'll be the winner but he's my pick.

If Lee gets back to full health I think he may be the surprise star for the season...he's oozing with talent! :D

Billy sharp's preseason movement has been brilliant in my view. He seems to be causing trouble to the defenses he is playing against and getting goals. I think he could be a bit of a surprise for many this season.

All very different players but Lambert has to be top of the pile, best striker of the ball since le tisser
