I was just sat here contemplating our journey over the last few years and where we are in the PL and the incredible season we are having and thought to myself. Do any of you think that Jose Fonte is on the brink of becoming a Southampton legend ( he already is in my opinion ), I know he hasn't been here his whole career but what he has helped us achieve over the last 5 years and his total dedication to SFC puts him right up there in that special bracket to me. He is a true professional who has put the club above anything else and in these days of players thinking of finance rather than club loyalty I think this is truly admirable.
I've been thinking the same thing Chris. Let's hope that the rest of the squad take notice

I doubt all that many would agree but I'd put Fonte above Lambert in terms of importance over the last 5/6 years. I know Lambert scored a lot of the goals but Fonte's lead the team since day 1, he fully deserves the captaincy and who knows how many game saving tackles/headers/clearances he's made over his time here
on that Lundekvam note, I can't tell you how much I'd love having Niemi and Lundekvam stuck in with Fonte, Alderweireld, Clyne, Bertrand and a fit Svensson on the bench

If we could get Toby and Clyney to sign contracts we would have the best back four in the PL not just for this season but probably that has ever been seen in the Premier League. Get the forward line sorted out so that we score more goals and every team would fear us, not that they don't already.

Well the results this week really worked for us. Except for spuds where a draw would have been best - we are back in third a point clear. Great result v QPR - lady luck smiling on us for a change. Please everyone can we get off the backs of players who aren't quite doing it right now. Pelle has been great most of the season, he is still running further than most others and is really trying hard. His hold up play is still good although the goals have dried up. let's sing his name on Wednesday and try to motivate him to start scoring again. Tadic, I am sure is carrying an injury he just hasn't got that freedom of movement he had but he will come good again and Forster saved our butts this time. Mane is another we get mixed input on but let's face it he is getting goals. And finally Yoshie was man of the match after all the grief we have given him in the past. Time to really support them all -they have done us proud this season. Regardless of what happens from now.

Very tough game for us on Wednesday, West Ham have only lost against the teams above them since November when Eveton won 2-1 which goes to show how much they've improved since we played them at the start of the season.
My guess is they'll try and play exactly as Swansea did, catch us on the break. Morgan and Big Vic to start with Davis filling in for Prowsey would be my midfield core. Davis played a couple of very good balls over the top of the QPR defence to play in Mané yesterday so worth trying that tactic once again.
I'm sorry but i get so frustrated by Davis whenever he plays. While he can play great balls forward he always looks to pass back before he looks to pass forward. His defense is also pretty poor and don't get me started on his shooting and free kicks.

I think davis makes saints tick, always enjoy watching him play, I think rk thinks so to always in the starting line up wnen fit and always give 100% unsung hero!
