Seeing that St Marys was sold out last Tuesday how come there were only 31, 267 there. Is this the corporates not taking up their allocation or what. I know that with crowd separation the capacity is reduced but we have had over 32,000 in there before. It may be Leicester didn't sell all their tickets and if so give them less in the first place, a lot of other clubs are much meaner than us just look at the Arsenal. I still don't understand why the away supporters couldn't be given the corner and free up the whole of the Northam for Saints fans, it would be a much better atmosphere. I know that the police don't want that but let's face it we are paying them to be there to do their job and there is hardly ever any trouble at grounds anymore.

The actually attendance is done on people through the gates since we went to electronic tickets.
so people may have bought tickets but been unable to attend. also i don't think it ever gets up to 32000 for regular games due to safety netting between fans. the only time i can think of is the england game a few years back

So it is true that people who are Man U, City or Chelsea supporters buy a ticket to get on the data base so that they can purchase a ticket for those games. Incredible but you think they would at least turn up for the game they bought the ticket for or at least give it away, crazy. By the way we did have over 32000 in the stadium when we were in the 1st division and that was with crowd separation.

At about the 65th minute, I started thinking Leicester had played a sound tactical game, it wasn't pretty but they had found a critical way to stop us in the final third irrelevant of how much space we were getting on the wings. Five minutes later and Pelle manages to hold up the ball in the box and find Long who curled the ball into the corner of the net. Absolutely remarkable moment that just further hints at the glimmer of possibility that this is to continue to be a special season.

I worry about the burden on Tadic to be the creative spark for the team. He's looked a bit off the pace the last few games, and the side has laboured to a couple of wins without his influence.

It's the sign of a good team that they can find a way to win ugly but that's going to be difficult to maintain.

The squad has pretty good cover for most positions, but there's no like for like replacement for Tadic for when he inevitably needs a breather or picks up a knock.

Pity Ramirez was loaned out to Hull (pointlessly, as he never plays). He'd be a handy alternative.

Anyway, credit to Long for finally having something to show for all his running about. Pelle's going to be suspended soon, so getting a bit of goalscoring confidence into the back up striker is no bad thing.

Onwards.

Steve Davis, Harrison read, jay rod, jack cork, all worthy pacey troublesome stand ins. Have faith. Saints are where they are because of the team, not the player alone. If it was down to one player then we would have been second in the league all through the 90's.
