Haha the funny thing about the rickie to everton rumour is that only one person thinks its believable and its obviously the guy that posted it. Ed, how likely do you reckon saints are to sign nicky maynard. A nicky and ricky strikeforce could be quite potent. {Ed001's Note - it seems very likely, certainly Southampton are currently head of the list, though it will depend on who else throws their hat in the ring.}

Let's face it, everyone knows we are a rich club sitting pretty at the top of the league hopefully pushing for promotion. We will be linked to every man and his dog. There are a couple of players we've been linked with that I would love to see in a saints shirt, Billy Sharp and Jay Butterfield. Not so impressed with other names but I have absolute faith in Nigel Adkins and Corteze. We've brought in some suspect players before like N'guessan, Forte etc, but on the whole we have had some very good players come in and some of those we never heard of. COYR.

Personally i dont think he is good enough and would prefer Bristol City Striker.. Maynard.

Their goal records this season are virtually identical and I think Jutkiewicz has tones of potential. Would be happy with either of them but all depends on price. No point going for Maynard at £6m when we can get Luka Juka for £2m

By the way on my previous post about moses, hoivelled, surman, clyne, hooper and puncheon, they were all targets not saying we'll sign all of them :)

Surman 1.9m loves the club great guy
Moses 3.5m quality signing
hoiveld 800k proven key player
clyne 1.5m great potential
hooper 4m knows adkins and would probably love to play in the prem.
I also want puncheon to stay because he's the best right winger we have.

As for the rumours about Lukas at Coventry, he was very poor and at present would not get into the current start 11 @Saints. I was at the game on Saturday and he showed very little apart from his tap in goal. Rudi from Hearts also not good enough to get in the Saints side at present. Save the money for a pacey Striker.
