The Brazilian centre back 'Dede' has apparently been linked with a move to Southampton after his cash strapped club have said they are needing to offload the player and he stated he'd like a move to the Premiership.

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Would be an incredible signing, but just far too unlikely.
would love it though

Agree9 Disagree2

Have had a look into this, and although it is true that Atletico Mineiro are financially hard up there is no evidence to suggest that Dede will go to us, although he has expressed interest in the EPL before. Would love it if he did come to us though.

Not sure about this rumour, but it is common knowledge that the saints needed a quality experienced CB in this window. And after the Fonte injury we may need two, and we need them ASAP. It would appear we have the cash available to buy top quality so any club short of cash who has a quality CB nearing the end of their contract is likely to linked with saints in this window.

Agree2 Disagree2

So where did he declare his interest in a move? Tell you himself?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has said to several different papers over the years he wants to move to the English Premiership. He didn't express specific interest in Southampton at any point but he's not gone into specifics about which club he wants to be part of.

Agree0 Disagree1

Is this Dede is the one at Vasco da Gama. If so he is a beast 23yr old 6"3 and rumoured to be interesting Benfica and Man United, doubt we would get him. Amazing if we did!

big deals boys big deals

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Your daughter is a saint! Can i marry her? Lmao {Ed001's Note - are female Southampton fans that thin on the ground you need to propose to the first one you find? Worrying that is!!!}

Agree6 Disagree1

I really really really hope this is true. But for some reason I have to admit I have huge doubts.

Agree8 Disagree3

"Worrying that is". Ed, are you Yoda in disguise?

Aussie Saint {Ed001's Note - well, I do look about the same age these days.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Wouldnt be suprised on both agents coming in which is great, th worry is if astori deal is like ramirez's then how long will we have to wait coutihnio thow be amazing for saints
post more when your daughter gets any news thanks.

I don't remotely want to pour water on this. But. Haven't we all heard things like this before?
So and so seen with someone else by my sister n laws, friends, flatmates reflection

Agree6 Disagree0

Lol, no edd there is plenty of female saints fans, but none with inside knowledge about possible signings (: {Ed001's Note - ah ok, that I understand! I remember saying something similar to Kelly Dalglish, years and years ago. Being a Liverpool fan, she is royalty to me! My broken heart never recovered from the rejection *sighs*.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Just a quick note - Aston Villa were reported by Coutinho's agent just today to have made an enquiry with Inter. Not sure whether this will have any bearing...

Aussie Saint

Agree1 Disagree4

Just rang the De Vere and they are fully booked for a week.

must be loads of Agents staying over.

Agree6 Disagree1

Aslong as we still got football in our hearts we will be ok (:

Agree1 Disagree1

Why doesn't someone who lives in England call the De Vere tomorrow and ask to speak to Renzo Contratto (Astori's agent)? That way, you can confirm whether he's actually there.

Aussie Saint

Agree2 Disagree2

Haha talk about milking a rumour. someone obviously heard the rumour about astori's agent a week ago and regurgitated it for him and coutinho again.

Agree1 Disagree2

I've heard from a source in Italy that Renzo Contratto is in the Uk, but he couldn't confirm which club he was here to talk to, so this could be possible.

Agree3 Disagree1

I have the same source! Can't go wrong relying on good old ketchup :)

Agree1 Disagree0

I am confident that this is rubbish. Pick the two most talked about rumours and chuck their agents in the posh Southampton hotel. Rumour made.

Agree4 Disagree0

This is not true. As of last October, players agents (from other clubs) are being put up in any number of secret locations outside of the city to stop things like this being written.
If these people are coming and going the meetings will not be in St Marys or staplewood and they will not even step foot into the city itself, only the very far outskirts. It was a point made in a high end board meeting last summer when news got out about J Rod. Statements like the one above are never to be believed.

Agree11 Disagree1

This is genuinely true, my best mate runs the place and I just came on here to write it but it'd already been said!
They had the best rooms in the hotel with the view of the sea I can even tell you that! aha!

anymore news on Astori or Coutinho? i cant take it anymore!!

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Becuase NC was being a bit stingy with the first offer of 8 million pounds Calgri are draging out the deal. Like bolonga did with ramirez. But we are most likely to sign him in this window.

Agree2 Disagree3

In my opinion Saints will secure both players during this transfer window just a matter of how long the two clubs string it out :)

Agree4 Disagree4

Need someone in soon the next batch of games are bad enough without the liability that is hooiveld.

Agree6 Disagree2

There is a post on the main site stating that the agents of these two are booked in to the De Vere next week.....

Agree1 Disagree2

Both player agents are booked into de vere hotel for 2 nights

Luke Shaw has committed his long term future to the club! That's almost as good as a new signing.

Believable23 Unbelievable3

Good news. Mind you he said the same thing over a month ago. Nothing has changed since. Won't sign a new contract til he turns 18. That way the deal can be a 5 year one, not 3 years if he were to sign now

Agree6 Disagree3

I bet Shaw is playing premier league football next season.

Agree8 Disagree1

He signed a 5 year deal on the Official site {Ed001's Note - he can't do until he is 18, what it will be is a pre-contract to sign a 5 year deal when he turns 18. The Premier League rules forbid under 18s to sign for any more than 3 years.}

Agree3 Disagree1

He has spoke to cortese and has pretty much been offered a 5 year deal when he turns 18 which he has accepted, BRILLIANT NEWS :)

Agree5 Disagree0

Thanks ed. backs up what I said earlier.. (1st reply) {Ed001's Note - you're welcome, glad the read through of the Premier League rules at the start of each season has finally come in useful! All those hours of tedium had to pay off one year I guess.}

Agree6 Disagree0

Ok, just re Read the Official site and i was wrong. Sorry.

Mis read the story as it refers to James WP signing his 5 year deal in november.

Doh!

Agree1 Disagree0

He's signed in effect a pre-contract agreement which means when he turns 18 he will sign a 5 year deal or something like that.
