Saints are set to be lining up the biggest coup of the summer transfer window with the signing of Spanish attacking midfielder Isco from Malaga. The deal will purportedly break the Southampton transfer window as the want-away midfielder looks to depart Malaga after a disappointing league campaign looks to see them miss out on Champions League football.

I think everyone is thinking the same for this. Would absolutely love it to happen but let's be honest, it's not.

Why would he then join a team who's not in the champions league?

Clarkey saint

Agree7 Disagree2

What a signing that would be if we somehow pulled it off! But I see his wage demands being very high as well as competition for a signature that prestigious.
I also have a question about this guy, does he count as part of the 25-man deal or is he young enough to qualify as an additional 'youth' member for a season?

Agree6 Disagree3

Haha behave.

He's hardly want-away. He just wants to move to a bigger club. He'd go somewhere with champs league football.

Stop making Saints fans look bad.

Agree13 Disagree2

If he is upset at missing out on the chapions league why would he come to us?

Agree7 Disagree4

Isco's buyout clause is 35 million Euros.
I'll repeat that for you.

35 million Euros!

No way is he going to Saints.

Agree7 Disagree8

I think ColdSaint meant transfer record as opposed to window. Either way, would very much like this to happen, even though it does seem a little far-fetched.

Agree5 Disagree5

Leaving Malaga as they won't get champions league football, to join Southampton who don't have champions league football. Isco is one of the best in the world and is being tracked by all of the major clubs in the world. Please stop embarrassing us with rumours like this, I mean the Arturo Vidal one a few weeks ago by an anonomous user really took the cake. And FYI he signed for malaga until 2018 knowing they would not get champions league football as 5 months before FIFA confirmed they were banned from European competition for 5 years due to financial problems

Agree7 Disagree2

AHAHA. The same Isco that City are set to be interested in and as you've mentioned, is disappointed at the lack of Champions League football? Come on now, we're not that big a fish yet

Agree7 Disagree2

I'd so love this to be true, but at the same time believe that so many teams will be interested in him, I have to ask why he'd want to choose southampton when I expect him to want Champions league football

Agree3 Disagree1

Southampton in for Hazard, bale return and Gerard piqué ;) just as likely

Agree5 Disagree5

Would love it, but I reckon he will end up at man city

Agree3 Disagree2

I thought Arsenal wanted him, if so he'll probs go there as he'll get more game time than he would at city

Agree4 Disagree1

Ed002, who are we realistically being linked to? {Ed002's Note - Jesus Gamez.}

Agree3 Disagree1

In the last few years, we've had; Best, Pele playing for us and now Jesus is linked - cool. Shame his Dad retired.

Agree5 Disagree1

After watching Man City in the FA Cup, it's clear Man Cities Need is far greater than Southamptons so perhaps we ought to let them sign him!

Agree0 Disagree2

Malaga aren't going to sell their BEST player to Southampton. Doesn't help that city are interested either

Agree0 Disagree1

Thats the funniest thing i've heard in a long time. Isco has been linked with Real Madrid, Barca and Man city so why would he go to Southampton. I tell you what since Southampton signed Ramirez they think they can sign anyone in th eworldbut reallistically it will never happen. Isco will go to a big cluband Malaga are better than southampton anyway.

Agree0 Disagree3

Isco was all ready to sighn for city, but after seeing them owned by wigan has decided to stay in spain forever

Hearing that Victor Wanyama is almost a done deal, and Adrian Lopez negotiations are in advanced stages.

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Far too early. let's get Sunday out of the way before anything starts happening. NC maybe enquiring but nothing will be tied up yet

Agree4 Disagree3

Well it can't be done until July so it's not really almost done cause we've got over a month before it can happen.

Agree1 Disagree8

^the deal can be done, he just wouldn't move till the summer. Much like Van Wolfswinkel and Norwich.

Agree6 Disagree2

Of course you can make deal now. It´s just that he isn´t allowed to play for the new club until july 1st.
Transfer windows are about when players are allowed to play with the new club, not about when deals are allowed to be made.

Agree5 Disagree2

Well, Poch did say that two players are close to signing, so it could be true.

Agree5 Disagree3

Not sure that it is these 2 players. I have feeling that Wanyama is starting to consider moving and Lopez is still googling who saints are.

Agree3 Disagree0

Why do you think that every decent Spanish player will join you Adriam, Jesus Navas and Isco you make me laugh no chance Man city want both Navas and Isco and Arsenal like Adrian so too sum it up. NO CHANCE.

I've been hearing the name Memphis Depay a winger from PSV being looked at by Southampton has anyone else heard this?

Clarkey saint

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Good young talented winger, would be a nice player to have in the squad and is young so for now would not count in the 25 man squad.

Agree1 Disagree3

I have heard this too. Had a look at him and looks good but to be fair so did ramiez

Agree0 Disagree4

Ramirez is class and will be a great signing for us, he has shown glimpses of what he can do he just needs time to get used to English football and he'll be great.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ain't ramirez leaving though
