Watched Ron Vlaar again last night, his positioning is brilliant. If we were to get him our full backs could get forward more knowing that the " brick wall " was back there mopping up. There was interest, anybody know any updates as to whether we are still interested? I think in some ways he would be the best bit of business we could do and he would cut out the oppositions ball over the top breakaways that cost us so many goals last season meaning that we could still play the pressing game and have a reliable old fashioned sweeper cleaning up at the back.

I think Villa are looking to nail him on an improved contract. I think he would be a quality addition though and RK may prove to be the lure. if we're in for him that is.
