Radhi Jaidi has urged Nigel adkins to sign big tunisian defender ammar jemal, hes currently just ended a loan at koln in germany (on loan from young boys in switzerland) has earned 24 caps to date. koln have a price to sign him (part of the loan deal ) but so far no offer has been submitted
would be a great signing for us

Believable11 Unbelievable7

We were linked with him last summer, good player by all accounts !

Agree2 Disagree2

Saints were in for him last season. The move fell down because NC wouldn't pay the players home town club I think. It was well reported. Doubt we'd go back after that debacle.

Agree5 Disagree1

Heard the same rumour last summer, would be fantastic, young and experience of international football. Also Mariappa or Ayman Abdennour are rumoured

Agree3 Disagree3

Saw him play in the game against bayern munich this season. really good player, i highly rate him

Agree3 Disagree0

We nearly signed him last year but the deal fell through. After which he said it would be apsolutely impossible for any deal to Southampton to happen

Agree3 Disagree1

I think he said that the version of the contract he was asked to sign had been edited to remove the figure his home town club would get...and on asking he was basically told it wasnt his business...he obviously thought it was and that saints had not acted in an honerable way

Hopefully, after signing J Rod, our next signing will be Jarvis from Wolves 5m + 1.5m adds on maybe and a decent CB, Roger Johnson, Scott Dann or Curtis Davies. Then definately Danny Guthrie on free transfer

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Guthrie definetly be we need bargains and not waste money
Knight free maybe clyne free etc

Agree4 Disagree4

Hope so!! ^ Jarvis would be great, Guthrie good on a free, and would like Johnson and Scott dann tbh

Agree3 Disagree1

Ince instead of Jarvis, not roger Johnson someone from Europe

Agree7 Disagree3

Roger johnson is not a good CB he gets teams relegated

Agree7 Disagree2

Reading the best in the championship last season, also they have made a bid for dame n'doye and are in talks with curtis davis and jaime o'hara

Agree0 Disagree9

I have always liked Jarvis and think he has always looked like wolves best play and think he would fit in well higher up the prem so would be a good addition

Agree6 Disagree0

Not roger Johnson, don't need anyone with poor atitude need players who will fight for the cause as it will b long hard season

Agree5 Disagree3

Johnson has had a shocking season, no thanks

Agree6 Disagree1

Funny this business of Reading being "in talks" with everyone, when they have been keen to point out that all their signings are done on the quiet and no-one will know until they are completed. I think there is a sense of concern amongst certain sectors!

Agree5 Disagree0

We're only talking about players we know
NA will sign someone quality that we've never heard of like he did with hooiveld!
Let's just wait until we actually make a move for players and stop making unrealistic stuff up

Agree5 Disagree1

Sorry mate but I don't care what Reading are doing... this is a Saints rumour page.

Agree8 Disagree0

Hooiveld was hardly unheard of now to be fair

Saints are looking at Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt as a long term holding midfield signing. Are considering offering Brighton Billy Sharp as a makeweight as he has not settled at St Marys and finds himself behind Lambert, Rodriguez and Lee in the striker pecking order. Source is my friend who is involved in the coaching set up - admittedly at youth level, but who has heard it talked about a lot in the last couple of days

Believable1 Unbelievable24

Billy wont be going anywhere mate.

Agree12 Disagree2

Sharp not settled you are kidding me just look at his twitter page he's lovin it and scored 8 in 8 at the end of the season definately a place in the squad for him, rod, lambo and lee if anyone leaves up front it'll be guly and barnard.

Agree15 Disagree2

Worst rumour ever?

Agree15 Disagree1

I hope so. Shame to lose Billy, but Bridcutt has always looked classy when we've played em

Agree3 Disagree8

No chance, billy sharp scored 9 goals in 9 games for us at the end of season he helped are promotion push! If anyone it would be lee barnard but even that is unrelistic we need good players witch meens no brighton players. Lol

Agree10 Disagree0

Why would Saints be looking for a holding midfield player-they already have quite a number who fall into that bracket. What they need is a class, attacking central midfield player, so we can increase our attacking options.

Agree6 Disagree0

^ Don't think we'll buy any CMs unless we sell 1 or an Adkins target is readily available. Also depends on the formation Adkins plays next season. If we play with 2 wingers and 2 strikers in the Prem, can we really also play with an attacking midfielder? I suspect the 2nd striker will be our 'attacking midfielder'.

Agree3 Disagree2

Funniest story I have read since what was the Daily Sport ran a story a few years ago (we were still at the Dell) stating that "Saints were trying to sign Siamese twins". If Sharp isn't happy at Southampton then sure won't be happy in Brighton

Agree5 Disagree0

They would be lookingn at one because the ones we have are sh1t.

Agree1 Disagree5

We wouldnt have got automatic promotion was in not for Billys sharpness over the last 11 r 12 games a pure poacher and pure nonsense of a post to start with... NA knows more than anyone about Sharp..

Does anyone know any real rumours for southampton?
Butland?

Believable10 Unbelievable3

A bid was made for but land but it wasn't accepted not near the 3 million being quoted very likely we will go back in for him again with an improved offer as we was testing birminghams resolve.

On closer scrutiny was one of the I assume players with Rodrigues none other than Aymen Abdenour a tunisian Saints have been linked with through Jaidi.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

No if u look closely one is Adi Akinbiyi most prob rodriguez's agent

Agree6 Disagree1

Probably Adi Akinbiyi. He's Rodriguez's advisor.

Who were the two I assume they were foreign players possibly from Africa one looked Moroccan or Algerian the other possibly french west Africa holding a southampton scarf with Rodrigues during his interview after signing? It looks as if the Saints video people have let the cat out of the bag prematurely and given us advance information as to who Saints are recruiting for the Premiership.Anybody know who they were?

Believable3 Unbelievable9

There was no one else other than jay rod

Agree2 Disagree3

One was Ade Akinbiyi, his agent.

Agree4 Disagree0

Where I is picture or video the players have been seen

Agree0 Disagree1

Where are the pictures of this then?

Agree0 Disagree1

The guy on the right of RodrigueZ was Ade Akinbiyi (former player) and how Jay´s agent. No idea who the guy on the left was but he looks way to old to be a player.

Agree3 Disagree1

Where can u see the video of this?

Agree0 Disagree1

The guy on the right of Jay RodrigueZ was Ade Akinbiyi (former player and now Jay's agent). I very much doubt the guy on the left is a player - looks too old and overweight

Agree3 Disagree1

The guy with Jay holding the scarf, was Akinbyi, his agent, ex bristol city / leicester striker.

Agree3 Disagree2

The pictures are on an interview with jay on Saints player. Those who dont have the player cant access the film end of.

Agree3 Disagree1

The guy on the left of Jay Rod is Ade Akinbuyi and on the right is his dad
