Thoughts on sighning Kolo Toure as he's looking to jump ship? Not sure about his wage demands though? Experienced international premiership centre back, just what we need! The new Jahdi! bad_welshman, saints fan

NA has three decisions for CB, Seasoned (30's). Prime (28ish) or Young(23-18). I like the Kolo Toure idea, 31 is as wise and experienced as you can get, a pro like Kolo if he is still fit can add valuable expierience to this young team. Give guidance to our premier untested CB's and be a team player from the bench if needed. I would put Ledley King in that hat too! two of the most highly rated CB in the prem at the twilight of their careers. It will give the younger players hope knowing that they will be needed to step up in a season or two! A quality player in his prime and within our budget would be the Beast "Samba", he has proven he could handle the prem. Would unsettle the current 2 center backs JF & JH as one would become a bench warmer. Or we go down the best young talent road he has been marching down. What about Michael Mancienne (24), English, talented, quick and would be a good fit.

Saints won't put Clyne signing up on their official website until the tribunal has made its decision. bad_welshman

There is no tribunal. It's standard purchase of a player.

The deal hasn't gone to tribunal though. Tribunal is the last step if a fee can not be mutually agreed between the two clubs. Saints and Palace agreed a few, hence there is no need to go to tribunal, in that sense it is like a standard purchase of a player.. i.e. we exchange funds for the contract of a player with no need to get a 3rd party tribunal involved.
