Is the player who scored against us in the friendly? Scored tonight too, anyone know anything about him?

He looked good today, got some pace and good skill, however he is 12/1 to sign for Burnley as well as several other clubs higher in the odds. Would be a good signing. Would also love to see Ricardo Rodriguez at Saints, looks to be a very good player and would be a very capable replacement for Shaw

if he's going to Burnley, does that mean they're resigned to losing Danny Ings? He would be my preferred choice!

Just heard that the shaw to United deal has fallen through as they don't want to pay the amout saints want for shaw instead United have gone for some Dutch player COYR

Interestingly, the press is saying that Chelsea also dropped out of the race to sign Shaw.
I would suggest that this is both clubs trying to drive the price down, knowing Shaw wants out.
I think the appointment of Koeman might persuade some players to stay.

more likely Saints have told them they don't want to sell. A step in the right direction. let's hope there are no hitches in the Koeman deal.

The version I have been hearing is they have decided Southampton's asking price is too high, they are not pulling out to force Southampton to lower the price as they know it's not likely to happen. Instead they have stepped up pursuits of other players but remain interested in Shaw in case they can convince Southampton to lower the price.
In my opinion, this will mean they will sign alternatives and Shaw will remain, it is highly unlikely that Southampton will lower the asking price this summer. His value may increase over the coming years seeing a sale in a future window for a larger fee (or at least nearer Southampton's valuation).

According to newspapers, ronald koeman's first signing would be van dijk of Celtic. We have scouted him numerous times this seasons and ronald koeman is a fan of the player. I personally would love this to be true. What would you guys think of it?

Just looked at the guy on YouTube and he looks amazing and also has an eye for goal, if lovren stays them to will be one hell off a defence

He would be great pairing with DL.
If we go in for any more of their players tho, they might start to think of Saints like a Liverpool to us. Keep nicking all their players. ha

Also seen that koemans first signing will be graziano pelle

I actually think Celtic and saints have a good relationship. He joined Celtic for about 2.6 million. To sell for three times that is easy profit what ever way you look at it.

Just read reports of Ronald Koeman and brother Erwin becoming Saints next manager partnership! Both with very good managerial experience, having managed top Dutch teams. Thoughts please. Remember the last Dutch managerial pairing?!
