Tata Martino leaves Barcelona.

A former Newell's Old Boy, like Pochettino. Plays a high press, passing, attacking style, like Pochettino. Argentinian. Like. you get the idea.

Any chance of the Saints getting him in, should they require a new gaffer soon?

Could do worse.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

Edd do you know who the board are looking at if MoPo goes David Moyes is free, wouldn't be the worst manger to get in with his previous experience.

Agree2 Disagree21

{Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Think they looked at Moyes before he went t Everton. Although I dislike him he could possibly do a job for us. Think a better option would be Sherwood but the best outcome would be for Poch to stay

I think if lallana goes we should put an offer in for rafa silva I know he's been linked and we should go sign him up as he's class along with a striker. Coyr keep mp and sort it out

Is it true we have offered poch 6 mil a yr and 30 mil transfer fund plus all of the sale of Luke that's not bad is it any idea about this ed not the figures but have we offered him a huge contract?

Believable3 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - It sounds like the brothers Grimm Twitter account. Seriously, I have no idea but sounds very unlikely.}

Pure paper talk IMO.

Agree9 Disagree1

Has he been offered a deal by SAints though? Do you reckon we won't sell lallana or shaw until after World Cup? Ed

Agree6 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Southampton won't want him to leave and will try to negotiate a solution. I cannot answer questions regarding the timing of transfers.}

Ok thanks should pochettino still be here at the start if next season? Are spurs still after him? Have we put an offer in for rafa silva? ED thanks

Agree4 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Yes Spurs are still after him and Southampton will look to Rafa as a replacement for Lallana should he leave.}

I think mopo wants full control of ins and outs and if we can keep our best players I'm sure mopo will want to stay

Agree9 Disagree0

It also seems that spurs don't like managers buying players. We know poch wants to run the team, ins and outs and even reserves and youth so that's one good thing we will offer him over spurs. Also spurs seem to be a bit of a poison chalice job. And it seems like the fans may not actually be right behind him. Aside from that I can see him going

Agree9 Disagree3

Where do u think pochettino will end up at start of the season? Do u think it should be sorted soon? Would rafa silva cost 20 million? ED

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed002's Note - You seem to be struggling to understand three things. I can tell you when I know of interest in a player buy I would rather not speculate. I cannot answer questions about the timings of transfers or decisions about managers. I avoid discussing money as it confuses most football fans.}

Ok can you tell me which players we have an interest in? ED thanks sorry

Agree6 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - I will summarise everything so you won't have any more questions but it is still early and the manager situation will need to be resolved before much happens with buying players.

Coach/Manager: Pochettino has already said no to an offer from one club who made an informal approach but is still of interest to both Spurs. Monaco had an interest as well but that has probably waned. Southampton will look to keep him. I would not be surprised if he moved on to Spurs.

Goalkeeper: Clearly a goalkeeper is being sought with the interest in Kasper Schmeichal. There has also been interest in Astori.

Defence: There was interest in Shaw from Chelsea but not at the price Southampton quoted them in January. Chelsea spoke with Southampton about a player going in part-exchange but the price remained unpalatable still and Chelsea have moved their interest elsewhere. Interest from Manchester United remains, but having had one offer rejected they will look to negotiate a lower fee than quoted to Chelsea. If Shaw were to leave it is not out of the question that Southampton would look to Ryan Bertrand. There is a chance Liverpool will look to include Enrique in a deal for Lallana but I do not know if Southampton will be interested. Nice's Kolodziejczak is a player that St Etienne has shown an interest in but they do not agree with the price being asked. His representatives have spoken with various clubs in England where they feel they can get a better price - certainly Southampton and Manchester United were approached. I am not aware of interest from either at this time.

It would not be out of the question for Lovren to move on this summer and with Southampton showing an interest in Caulker the club are likely expecting offers. Interest could come from Germany, Manchester United or possibly Liverpool or even Barcelona.

Midfield: Lallana would attract interest from a number of clubs including Liverpool, Spurs, Manchester United and Chelsea if available but Southampton do not want to sell unless a particularly attractive offer is made that matches their evaluation. Liverpool have made an offer which is entirely unacceptable to Southampton - but could make another offer which offers more money and improved terms - or perhaps make an offer that includes a player or two. Do not rule out Manchester United making a substantial offer to take both Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana as a package.

Southampton, Roma, Monaco, Schalke, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica have shown an interest in Braga midfielder Rafa Silva.

Will Hughes is continuing to attract interest from several clubs including Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle. It remains unconfirmed but it is thought Arsenal, Southampton and Manchester United might also be interested in Hughes at the right price. Derby has priced him at a level which will make a transfer very expensive for the buying club. I suspect it will become clearer after the play offs.}

Both Arsenal and Napoli will look to Schneiderlin this summer.

Crystal Palace, Everton and Swansea all have an interest in Jack Cork. Southampton would like to keep him but his contractual situation may make that difficult.

Forwards: Jay Rodriguez has attracted the attention of Spurs but right now their interest appears to be focussed elsewhere given his injury. If Pochettino ends up as manager there and Rodriguez can prove his fitness then they could make a bid.

West Brom, Everton and Southampton have enquired about Victor Moses in addition to Hannover 96 and Lille who have previously shown an interest. The enquiries were all very tentative.

There has certainly been a Southampton enquiry with the agent of Danny Ings. Stoke are also interested and Burnley will look to hang on to him.}

Cheers for the detailed insight ed but I don't understand why people are talking like we will accept every offer if it meet the price why would we allow 5-6 key members leave in 1 window. it would relegate us no question as we are a bonded team and its a key part to are success.

I can accept shaw leave 30mill for an 18 year old you could spend a fraction of that for someone just as good maybe not potential wise but bertrand would do fine.

I can also accept lallana going only if we are offered a stupid amount because of his sell on clause because he's ambitious and wants CL which is we aren't pushing for as before you can't blame him going.

Agree1 Disagree5

{Ed002's Note - They are playing well - expect interest. And you need to register in order to post.}

Hi ED thanks for your help so it looks like we're after a gk, cb, winger and a striker. I hope mp stays ands it's sorted this week and adz stays too with Luke and lovren

Agree4 Disagree1

When does the transfer window officially open? Is it July the 1st. any interest in billy sharp? Hooiveld? Thanks

Agree2 Disagree1

Billy Sharp signed for Doncaster for a small fee in January. Hoovield still has a year left on his contract.

Agree2 Disagree5

I'm pretty sure sharps still here, we need to get rid of him osvaldo, mayuka and gazzangia, ED will Osvaldo and mayuka now return?

So Guly has been released after 4 seasons, along with Jonathan Forte and Barnard.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Good luck abc thank you

Agree3 Disagree2

Hi ED did poch say no to marseille? Have we had any offers for sharp or hooiveld? I hope poch stays and it's sorted thus week and he spends wisely

Agree4 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Yes. I am not aware of offers for other players at this time.}

So ED do you think poch is holding out for spurs? It needs to be sorted soon

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - I have no thoughts on the matter. I have explained that there is interest from Spurs. l'OM were not expecting a "yes" to what was an informal approach.}

Ok. We're the upped bids for adz and Luke rejected? Are we not willing to sell? ED. Thanks. I'd like to see them stay and poch commit this week

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about. Sorry.}

Ok so did Man U and Liverpool not up their bid for lallana and shaw? ED. Have they ended their interest?

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - it has been barely any time yet, you need to calm down a bit mate. These things very rarely happen over night. Both teams will go away and consider their options before deciding whether to up their bids or look elsewhere. Personally I would expect Man Utd to come back with a better offer for Shaw, but I am not convinced Liverpool can afford to match Southampton's price for Lallana.}

Ok thanks so it looks like it may be shaw of if anyone. Will osvaldo and mayuka be returned? ED is anyone interested in osvaldo? If lallana stays would that end our interest in rafa silva? Thanks ED

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - That is not what Ed001 said and I have already explained that others might well be interested in Lallana. I don't know of any confirmed interest in Osvaldo but there is interest in LS, MD, AD, JC and MP and possibly JR as I have explained.}

Hi ok thanks I hope we keep them and sort it out this week. So will osvaldo be returned? Have we put a bid in for Kolodziejczak? Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - See previous answers.}

Hi sorry ed, if lallana stays does that end our interest in rafa silva? Has fonte and cork had talks yet

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The transfer window is not even open yet.}
