I've heard he's moving to London.

I am moving house also, but not towards the Arsenal ground. let's just wait until the announcement is made - leaving a property doesn't yet mean leaving the team. Fingers crossed he is just upsizing in Southampton.

Well unless he knows a firm bid is going to be placed by United or Arsenal, Schneiderlin is going to end up homeless come the start of the season! There doesn't seem to be any pace to this transfer ATM, but I suppose things can change at any day.

He's been saying his goodbyes to friends in Southampton.
90% of football players only rent property's. A few players live closer to London due to the lifestyle differences

Seems legit, has anyone noticed that cabaye is now 2/5 fav to come to the saints on ? I can't seem to find anything on the subject tho

Morgan Schneiderlin has been a good servant and like it or not, he looks like being an ex-Saint. He deserves our respect, thanks and goodwill, tinged with sadness that he couldn't stay and try to push Saints to the next level, or a cup,maybe. I look forward to seeing who Ronald brings to St.Marys. Gueye looks tough.

Yes Smock, I've seen that with Cabaye too, only downside is I seem to remember him being those exact same odds a couple of years ago to leave Newcastle for Monaco (?!) and actually suspended the betting at one stage, despite him not being linked to them either. so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Spider publicly cried when he wasn't aloud to leave last season and has done nothing but make hints he's off every time he has had the chance. Only reason he played well this season was to make sure the other teams kept an interest in him and he looked professional to other clubs.

The current rumours about Chelsea doing a deal with Atletico Madrid for Toby makes me steam from the ears . I am not positive of the facts of the loan to us so maybe one of the Eds can put me right . He was known to be a top class quality player when we got him in so why did we not just buy him outright? He may still have wanted to move on to a CL club but we would be in control of the transfer and would have probably netted 2 to 3 times the price we would have paid for him, seems very poor business sense to me. However as I said I am not sure whether we got him outside the transfer window but I didn't think so . Best scenario of course is that he stays with us but it is looking unlikely.

{Ed002's Note - Atletico knew that they could get more by buying Southampton out of their fixed price deal.}

I know what your saying chris chelsea don't even need him it really does annoy me when big teams pay for the sake of buying Toby will make a nice bench warmer real shame if hw does.

If Miranda is about to join Inter Milan as is being suggested, then it may be the biggest sign yet that Atletico are intending to keep Toby rather than cash in on him.

I think Chrisdownj means, why didn't we buy him in the first place? Rather than loan him.

{Ed001's Note - because that was thought to be the best deal, he was coming off a year he had barely played and the club wanted to be sure he would adapt to the Prem.}

20 Jun 2015 11:27:32
That's exactly what I meant Chippie and although Ed 001 has a point about adapting to the PL I think most people knew he was a quality player including RK . It was not as though he was an unknown player before he came to us . If we were unsure of him adapting to the PL you could say the same of Mane and Pelle . I just think we missed the boat on this one but the board may still be a bit over cautious since the fiasco of Osvaldo and may be a bit more reluctant to readily splash the cash . I don't agree with loans anyway if you are trying to build a side for the future , unless it is absolutely necessary through injuries.

Southampton reportedly have deal in place to sign Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to France Football.

Reports suggest Arsenal and Marseille are both interested in the 25-year-old but France Football claim Southampton have a £7m deal in place and will announce it once Morgan Schneiderlin departs. Ed's, any news on this?

{Ed002's Note - It looks to be correct. Marseille and Southampton have spoken to Lille about Gueye and Southampton are finacially well placed to complete a deal.}

Correct chippie. I posted this a couple of days ago and got 2 unbelievable ha. The fee of 7m is definitely agreed. This deal may still take a few weeks.
