I'm always suspicious about rumours which include a valuation for Gaston of £12m. This just shows the source has not included any valuation for Saints converting Gaston's purchase from a multiple ownership to a single ownership. What did that cost? We will never know but it did add significantly to his (rumoured) cost and when this is ignored in any subsequent suggested sale it does suggest the source is pretty inaccurate.

The problem with Gaston is that he's too inconsistent. All the time he's inconsistent, he can't get near the team, and if he isn't playing, he won't improve. Technically by not playing him, we're holding up his development, but it doesn't help when he's off playing for Uruguay every 5 minutes.
The one thing that Poch demands is that players give 100% every day. If Gaston isn't fopr whatever reason then surely we'll move him on quickly.
Evidently non of the above posters/ liars on this site listened to the match coverage on radio solent yesterday where the rumours were quached by player and club
The problem with Gaston is he can only play on a dry pitch! You get him on a wet surface and his passing goes to pot and he can't play!
St christofer, always inconsistent pretty much means he is consistently crap lol. I just feel he hasn't adapted well, and that mopo is after a different type of player. We would need to sell, as although we can afford to buy, the new financial fair play regs means teams of our size can't throw money away. We have to make things add up on the books. I think banega is still a target.
