OK I'm a member of the
Southampton board and I'm the guy who goes out and spreads rumours if Adkins or Cortese
want me to. I'm not allowed to reveal my name though. here is what they have told me
could be possible as they feel the fans should have a right to know however i can't
reveal any figures:
-Charlie Austin (Swindon) has visited the club a few times
now and has had a look at the facilities and everything however Swindon are reluctant t
sell him to a club in the same division although Cortese tells me they are close to a
figure which COULD involve a part exchange from St Mary's to Swindon
- Matt
Tubbs has agreed personal terms with Saints and is close to signing for us from
Crawley
- Figures are being discussed with both Bournemouth and Rangers over
Marvin Bartley and Andy Webster but only one might join.
-Eidur Gudjohnson has
been mentioned although that is extremely hopeful.
-Finally, if the prices are
right then Mathieu Manset or Ryan Harley could join.
-Wingers Jason Puncheon and
Alex Chamberlain are trying to be kept by Saints because of Adam Lallana's injury and
Lee Holmes will still be out for a while.

A battle is now ensuing
for the 24-year-old, and skysports.com understands up to half-a-dozen Premier League
clubs are now looking at him.
Amongst the club hunting him are Blackpool,
Wolves, West Brom and West Ham.
As well as Millwall, Championship sides
Swansea, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and Leicester are also chasing
Puncheon.
