inside info saints and Everton interest ings but ings favouring Everton but the lad sounds like a right muppet anyway from what I have heard.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Latest I had heard he was committed to remaining at Burnley to help them achieve their first season goals to stay up. Not sure him moving is too likely and pretty sure Burnley won't be willing to sell him either.

Agree9 Disagree2

He'd be great but it's prob rubbish. We need to sign a striker

Agree5 Disagree0

Why would he favour Everton when he is. Saints fan?.

Agree6 Disagree2

{Ed003's Note - Did you see him for the U 21's tonight btw ? }

I did, must say wasnt overly impressed

Agree5 Disagree0

Mikeysfc, wrong! ings is a southampton fan / supporter! it has been said that he wants a move to southampton.

Weather we are interested in him or not is another question but he is def a saints fan!

Agree5 Disagree2

Speaking of weather, no one was particularly impressive for England yesterday. I only saw the second half but the conditions were appalling. Maybe not fair to judge him on that after a very good season.

I thought Redmond was excellent, but the lad that really caught my eye was Garbutt, a left back playing for Everton. He looked excellent in the first half, especially when going forward. Redmond now with a Championship side and Garbutt unlikely to dispossess Baines at the moment. Please take a look Mr Reed. Rumour has it we may be needing a new left back!!

Agree3 Disagree0

No ED why? Who would he favour anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - Like the other poster said I wasn't overly impressed either - No idea sorry.}

This is just what was told and I didn't say he was an everton fan

Afternoon Eds. We've heard a lot lately about Man City's supposed English exodus (Lescott, Richards, Milner, Sinclair). I have a few questions about that if you'll indulge me. First, is this legitimate? Second, do you know of any interest for the four players, especially from Southampton? Third, where do you think Richards will end up? Thanks.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is likely that the four players and Rodwell will leave. I am not aware of any Southampton interest at this time. Micah Richards will be looking for various options and I really don't have any feeling for where he will end up.}

Who will they try and sign to get the 8 english trained players in a squad ed or will they just promote some players from their youth teams or bit of both? With them leaving I make that Hart the only one!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The youth team players don't count. They cannot go over 17 non HG so they might need to look to some.}

20 May 2014 14:18:00
That's what I meant as they will only have 18 senior players that surely isn't enough for a whole season in PL and CL so either english trained will have to be signed or they will have to use some of there under 21/18 players. Are they interested in Shaw?

Agree0 Disagree1

Micah and Sinclair please! The rest are left for scrap.

Saints will bring a keeper into the squad. Kelvin will become part of the coaching staff, Cody will be one of the three squad keepers along with Boruc with us sending Gazanigga out on loan. Ruddy, Scmeichal and Forster three names in the hat. The Mopo saga is a great smoke screen to the Shaw and Lallana bids, and also to potential signings. Nothing will happen with team player outs our ins whilst the head coach position is unresolved. I suggest that Ings will come in as a replacement for Jay Rod and that Osvaldo was the natural replacement for Lambert. Again until his future is resolved then we won't replace him. I'd guess that Lovrens and Fonte along with Yoshida will be our 3 main centre backs, hopefully Jos will move on and we sign a fourth centre back, Astori keeps being mentioned, I'd like to see Lescott at St Marys. Perhaps we have enough in midfield, Victor and Morgan are class, cork was awesome too, Davis is a quality player now and has come on loads in his second season, with JWP improving swiftly we have 5 class midfielders. Hopefully we can hang on to Shaw for another season yet, whilst we develop Target. Surely we have an amazing squad and even Lambert has enough miles left in him to oversee the development of young Gallagher. We need to hang on to what we've got and tie Mopo to another 2 seasons, maybe trade Gaston for another creative player and bring in that keeper and someone like saints fan Ings, we can definitely bang on the door for Europe next season.

Steven caulker would be a good addition I think and vela for 4 million would be a good move kasper as far as I'm aware has signed a deal with Leicester again but would love Forster he's a giant inbetween the post and he's English who his always good

Agree10 Disagree4

No offence dark peng but that just sounds like a round up of people's previous rumours/ opinions if the last 2 years.
I agree on all the players mentioned, and no player outs would be a saints fan ideal scenario.
I have to disagree though that this could be a valid rumour, in which the board are considering even a few of these players
