Southampton FC are to raid Arsenal for centre backs Sebastien Squillaci and Kyle Bartley to solidify their back line. Squillaci is believed to be available for £1 million and Bartley's signing would be a season long loan.

So, already having kelvin davis and now steven davis, and being linked all summer with curtis davies and mark davies.... It seems we have now signed adam davies (everton keeper).

Have you been reading the star and actually believing what it says??

Ever realised that someone is winding you up? He hasn't had a club since 2007 and was only on loan at Everton back in 2005
Agree2

I don't read the star. Heard from a friend's son at the academy that he was on trial he also played a trial in a friendly for cheltenham last week. however it has to be said, the star was the first to register saints signing of clyne

He's a 20 year old keeper in Everton's academy. The Star have said he's signed. Not saying it's correct but they said the same about Clyne a few days before official confirmation.

He would have been 12 in 2005!

Actually he has signed. funny how people mouth others off on here , but its true, he has signed from evertons youth acadamy, so apologise please
Agree2

How do you know he's signed? theres no information about it?
Agree2
Disagree0
I'm sorry but nowhere credible has stated he's signed yet. If it comes up on the Official saints website I'll believe you. But I really don't see this one happening.
Agree2

When the Star mentioned the Clyne thing they'd just heard the rumours and decided to say it had happened. Then it did that is how the Star works they don't always get it right. The Star also only has like a sentence or two on the subject, that's an indicator that they may not have been telling the truth. If they knew it had happened they would have written more about the keeper or an alleged fee.
Agree2

The star print lots of short stories (rumours). Fans click to view and the star gets money from sponsors. The more rumours they print the money clicks they get and therefore more cash. If its news use the OS. If its a rumour avoid the star.

Does anybody know why lee isn't playing in the pre season games? Is it still the same injury? Just there's not many updates on him

Still injured although i believe he went to France pre-season, don't think it's anything to worry about as he and super RL are the two main protagonists on the Saints Store Catalogue so why spend all that advertising money if the player is being let go?
Agree2

He's still recovering from the Surgery he had a few months ago. Adkins said a few weeks back that while he is running he was a few weeks away from being able to do full training.

I think when he was injured in April it was reported to be a four month recovery so hopefully he'll be back on the bench at least in the next few weeks.

I think he's still recovering from his injury, I would really like to see him involed this season as I think he's quality

He did feature in a game when they were in Evian. I think the current focus is making sure he's 100% ready for the season with his injury healed up. He is probably working closely with the physio's to bring him back for the final of the pre season Friendlies I'd imagine.

Still recovering from his injury

As far as I know, he only got off crutches recently so he probably isn't quite fit enough for games yet
Agree1

He's featured prominently in all the publicity for the new kit...my guess is he is just still injured and they don't want to risk him. Like Steven Davis.

Adkins said he would return towards end of preseason

He may not be fit enough yet I've seen him walk around fine before the match but might not be match fit.

Hes only just in the last 2 weeks come back into light training, cant see him being fit in time for start of season, still a month off. - chris

Yes - he is only doing light training at the moment, he is still recovering from that ankle injury he suffered in March
Agree0

I imagine, like Steven Davis, he's just being rested to ensure he doesn't aggravate his injury, therefore knowing he's fine to play when the season starts. I for one, can't wait, I expect we'll see a lot from him.

Same injury, however he has started light training and is also doing a lot in the gym.

Lee was sat behind me at the Ajax game, he was not on crutches and he wasn't wearing a protective boot, he said he would miss the start of the season but hoped he would be ready for mid September.
