A horrible rumour emanating from the ssn rumour mill saints looking at tom cleverly for 8 million please let this be untrue oh god please!!!

Believable16 Unbelievable16

I'd be more than happy with this

Agree7 Disagree26

Haha no thanks he's so bad

Agree21 Disagree7

God no please, did see an intresting swap deal idea of shaw for Hernandez plus cash

Agree17 Disagree7

Cleverley would be a great signing.

Agree3 Disagree27

No thanks

You will be pleased to know this rumour is without foundation. No approach has been made for Tom Cleverly.

I think it's safe to say Manchester United fans have been dreaming of such a deal though.

Agree14 Disagree0

Could do a lot worse than Cleverly for 8mil

then again we could do a lot better for 8 mil and I'd rather see more of JWP and Reed than Cleverly

Agree17 Disagree6

I don't think there will be any ins until new manager appointed which I believe will be by Wednesday next week be patient

Set me straight - they give us Cleverly and £8 million - yes?

Agree16 Disagree3

Midsomernortonsaint is right, no deals will be done until we have a new manager and why would we go for Cleverly when we have loads of good CM's? Probably our best covered position

I hope not but at least it's nice to finally read a rumour about buying a player!

How do you know that st Sam?

Cleverly is a binman

Agree6 Disagree1

Saints won't be looking to sign anyone - their scouts will have ideas but until a new manager is installed they will wait to see if those targets sit with the managers ethics - it highly likely that everyone linked to the club will not be a target and the new manager will have his own ideas

Agree2 Disagree1

Just imagine if we signed Danny Ings, And sam vokes. Three burnley men playing up front (Jrod)

Great news if true, I really do rate Gaston. he was injured in pre season under Adkins (plus we had to adapt that year) and MoPo never fancied him. but if we sold him then i'd guess lala is staying!

I think cleverly has a decent skill level. He's been found out at the highest levels with United which has made him a convenient scape goat for their woes, and recently this has carried forward to england. Said for a while that he'd do well under less pressure. and our defensive strength would give him more freedom. That all said and done, we won't be signing anyone without a manager, and I doubt we'd go for his wage demands.

Saints negotiating with Torino to sell Gaston!

Believable7 Unbelievable20

Please keep him or get rafa silva

Agree9 Disagree1

I don't think we're getting rafa silver anymore, I think mopo was looking at him

Agree5 Disagree0

I'd like to keep him, if he stay fit and gets a run in the team he could be great for us

Agree9 Disagree0

Rafa Silva is one of the players our scouting team is monitoring, whether or not we go in for a formal approach will depend on the new manager and if Rafa is the sort of player he wants in the side.

No offer has been accepted for Gaston but clubs are interested in him. He will not be sold prior to the appointment of a new manager (unless obviously a ridiculous offer comes in).

Agree2 Disagree0

Behave. Forgetting Lallana and the rumours involving him, we were already looking to strengthen that area in midfield as we sold Puncheon. If Lallana is go to (Big team) then Ramirez will not be allowed to leave. If they both left, imagine our midfield. Go home. Back to the drawing board for you chap!

I wouldn't be too worried about losing Lallana chaps. Take a look at Rafa Silva from Braga, just 20 in the Portugal squad, would be an exciting replacement. William Carvalho, although pricey, ought to be on Saints radar as well.If we sell LALLANA and SHAW for 30 m apiece, both the Portuguese players would be doable.Live and rejoice guys we could be getting the better of any deal, i'd be quite happy if both the Portuguese came and joined Saints they d have Fonte to help them settle in. Here s hoping.

Been told (by the same people who've told me about transfers that have happened)

Koeman and Moyes have been interviewed. Koeman's favourite as he impressed with his ambition for himself and the team, his policy for youth and will want less in wages

it'll be announced before the WC starts with de Vrij probably following him

Believable17 Unbelievable9

Hooray! Can't wait 😄

Agree8 Disagree4

If that were true, I think Koeman would be a decent choice. Build a really good Feyenoord side on a limited budget using mostly youngsters and academy graduates. Plays attacking, passing football.

I just don't see how Moyes "gels" with Saints' long-term philosophy, though as a stop-gap to keep them in the league through a tricky period of sales and cost cutting I suppose it has some merit.

Agree1 Disagree1

How likely? Are these the two ED?

Agree0 Disagree1

We need to get koeman in by Wednesday to add stability and keep all our players bar osvaldo and sign 4/5 decent players and get fonte, cork and jay rod on new deals. Coyr sort it and stay up. Any more on new manager ED?

Agree3 Disagree1

Why on earth would we interview Moyes? He'd want far too much in wages, he is far to defensively minded and plays unattractive football, oh, and he took a Premier League winning team and managed to finish one place above a recently promoted side.

Not really the manager the Saints fans would like to see.
