Big sign this summer at st Marys will be the £12m signing of Tim Matavz from PSV heard that deal all but done just waiting on comfirmation that Southampton stay up. Been in national newspapers in Slovenia. Also hearing that southampton have been looking at vfl stuttgart captain and centre back stefan tasci. Two big signings that will push the club on.

Apologies Saint ITK, I don't really believe this.
Hopefully you prove me wrong.

Ive looked up matavz and he's clearly not worth 12 million he is no better than yoshida yos or fonte, stefan tasci does look promising thow.

Hopefully you mean serdar tasci as stephan tasci doesn't exist

Trev Saint - Of course Yoshida and Fonte are better than Matavz mate considerin they play CB and Matavz is a striker :)
Agree11
Disagree1
If you looked him up shouldn't you know that he is a CF? 22 goals in 44 games with ten assists is a good return. Never worth 12 million though. 10 at the most.
Agree6
Disagree4
And no way would I want Serdar Tasci. His injury history is huge and plus he's injured at the moment! Never going to happen.
Agree5
Disagree1
Matarz goals scoring record over last few years has been good all be it in a league where goalscoring is quite high. I'd say he's worth a bid at least 12m is what I heard and the german guy aparently on a free. Also hearing frederick sorensen of bologna is being eyed up by Saints as well (parently Cortese and the Bologna president have worked together in the past).

You've got to be kidding. You'd seriously give Hooiveld a game ahead of Albiol?!
Agree13

He's a right back anyway, good cover for Clyne in my opinion
Agree2
Disagree9
He is a CB not a right back and as OzzieSaint said we won't pay the 60-70k wages he would want and get elsewhere

Dont get arbeloa mixed up with albiol

Would love this, he's class, wages wouldn't be that high he's only at Werder Bremen and besides we have some of the richest owners in the country we can defo afford him!
Agree2

His wages are around 100k a week, we won't get him. It is not a realistic rumour. Anyone who thinks it is needs to get real

Saints have been heard to have matched Galatasary's reported 12m bid for Arjen Robben to offer him a return to the Premier League

Sorry - wouldn't want the arrogant, sulky primadona at Saints.
He just wouldn't fit in with the ream ethic.

This is silly, not likely to leave Bayern considering his key role in almost guaranteeing them the Champions league title this time around. {Ed001's Note - except that Pep doesn't want him and it has been made known he is available. Not sure that there is any chance of him joining Southampton mind.}
Agree4

Come on be realistic he is far to good to join saints and would go to a top 4 club with champions league if he did come to the prem.
If we signed him I will watch a saints game completely naked till I was kicked out.

Think these are well thought out lies, i. e. they are good targets for saints and each seem relatively to fit in with what we need and want from them. Cheekily deceptive this list.

You say that but the majority have been linked to Saints by the media. They're not his lies!

Southampton are closely monitoring the situation with Brentford's Harry Forrester. There is belief at St. Mary's that he can offer good cover in the squad due to his ability to play across the midfield.
Believable4
Unbelievable8
Why? He isn't the sort of player I think would catch cortese's eye. This has FM13 written all over it.
Lenny
Agree7

He isn't good enough.
Agree2

Forrester is a quality young player who could really make an impact in the right team. Give the lad a chance and ENGLISH players an opportunity. Southampton has lost it's identity with all these foreign players, foreign owners and foreign manager. Up the west london brazilians!
Agree6
Disagree3
He is actually a very good player it much rather see this guy join our club, more young english talent
st stuie
Agree3

Foreign owner who saved us from liquidation. Plus Davies, Clyne, Shaw, Cork, Puncheon, Fox, Rodríguez, Lambert, Stephen Davies, Lallana, Ward-Prowse all first team squad players. Much better than the majority of premier league teams, so think before you ramble next time please.
Agree5
Disagree9
Lost our identity? Please we lost it year ago when we first got relegated under Redknapp. We never recovered. Venturing down to St. Mary's to watch premier league football is nice but the saints in southampton were ripped out long ago.

Looks like the rumors in italy about rameriz are still doing the rounds.
this time they are saying that Ac milan will offer southampton cash plus player. the player mentioned is simone ganz who is a italian u19 striker

Maybe for Hachim Mastour

Ramirez won't be leaving even though he's had a poor season he's just bought a house in southampton so hopefully he is finally settling down in england giving us better football from him next season
