Not trying to put a spanner in the works, but, if De Matteo had been sacked in the summer, he would have been Saints manager this season. Don't say rubbish, this is a fact. I know this from a source whom I can't name but believe me it is true. This is no personal thing against Nigel but believe me it is true Cortese wanted Matteo but they kept him on at Chelsea. Waiting for a slagging but do your home work and you find lots of bits and pieces that point it in that direction.

Just to let you know , I did the last post not the first one in this section. I believe don't realise what is real, Cortese rates him. You are probably the same person that thinks that Cortese picks the team, if so , he will pick the manager as well. All about success in this division , too much money involved.
... Adkins going nowhere after the teams performance at QPR. Cortese loves him and doesn't have any back up in mind to replace him any time even close to soon.

Roberto Di Matteo won the champions league and the FA Cup and lost drogba etc. Still sacked though, no loyalty at the top, just money. Nigel is a good man and a good manager but might mean nothing when heads needs to roll. Just hope he gets us sorted against Newcastle, massive game for him as well as us.
NA is a fantastic manager and is building a strong foundation of youth players. Success will take time and IF we go down we will be straight back up with this squad. We have had 2 fantastic years of back to back promotions it now time to build a squad for the future and ND is doing that. I am behind nigel even if we go he should stay as we are becoming a very good footballing side, just need to stop making mistakes
