Hearing you are due to announce 2 signings tomorrow, photo shoot booked for 11.30

Spanish red

Believable13 Unbelievable1

Who are these signings?hopefully cajyon and coutinhio or lovren/astori

Trev saint

Agree4 Disagree3

Where is this photo shoot? I swear the squad are away in Barcelona?

Agree6 Disagree2

The squad are in Barcelona. There is a gallery on the official website of them training and bonding...

Agree4 Disagree1

Photo shoot for the new signings, not existing squad!

Agree4 Disagree2

We signed Clyne when the squad was away in France

Agree7 Disagree1

Yes but they will want to be with the manager to do the Photos and be incorporated into the team as soon as possible.

Agree1 Disagree3

Maybde just maybe one of the signings is an espanyol player.. ohhhh where is espanyol? Its in Barcelona.
Also players can fly to Barcelona rather than little Southampton to sign a contract or didn't you know planes existed

Agree0 Disagree4

Hopefully

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah it's totally correct about Clyne and Gazzaniga for that matter, both were presented at the training camp in France, so there is all the possibility this could happen although I reckon it's just the one and that being Coutinho...as much as its been spread in the press inter are too prolific to hide any transfer in and out goings to the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing rumours flying around about david villa....
ladbrokes are quoting us as 4th favourites to sign him as well at 25/1. a long shot. a very long shot, but hat a signing it would be.

Agree6 Disagree2

Well 11.30 passed a long time ago and still no signings. Think you were a bit off

Agree2 Disagree0

What time zone is the 11.30 photo shoot in, as not GMT

Agree1 Disagree1

Did you mean an 11:30pm photo shoot? Think we may have signed Dracula....

Saints going to announce the signing of continuo in the next 48 hours

Believable10 Unbelievable12

Player is having a medical tomorrow.

Agree9 Disagree9

Where is he having medical

Agree9 Disagree5

Liverpool site also saying he is having a medical prior to signing on Friday guess he must be a poorly young lad if he needs two !!

Agree7 Disagree5

And today courtinho has said "hes happy at inter"

Agree2 Disagree3

When a player claims they are happy at a club, it is to force the purchasing club to make an increased offer of personal terms. if a new company wanted me and offered me a job the first thing i'd do would be say i'm happy where I am.

Saints front runners to sign biglia

Believable10 Unbelievable11

I hope not tbh

Looks like Calejon might well be on as Mourinho has been in touch with saints before and is good mates with Pochettino.. personally, I would love to see this happen, plenty of pace and a good finish is what saints are missing at the moment

Believable6 Unbelievable10

There is no friendship in business like this. Ok there's a link there but Mourihno will only let the player go if the price is right... Don't think football does mates rates

Agree9 Disagree3

Fergie does it for his son! It's all depending how good mates they are.

All froth and wind, no verification but reports flying around that Southampton have had their £10.1m bid for Coutinho accepted.
Saint Ciccone

Believable8 Unbelievable6

If an offer was accepted it would be all over tv by now don't ye think?

YNWA!

Agree4 Disagree9

^^^^ don't know if you have noticed but saints never let anything out about transfers so the answer to your question is no it would be all over the tv and trust me he will be joining soon was in soak. Today having a medical and discussing terms

Aaron Martin has not traveled with the squad to Barcelona. Could be passport related, but more likely he's not in the first team picture. Expect him to be one of the players leaving St Mary's in January.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Well he's in the photos

Agree6 Disagree2

Out of interest what photo is that?
Certainly not in the squad photo that was taken at the Camp Nou

Inter have agreed to sign Belhanda. However they could only sign him if they got money from selling Coutinho. If the reports are true that we have placed a bid higher than Liverpool, I'd expect him to be coming to saints tbh. It all adds up but we'll have to wait and see :)

Mini-Saint {Ed001's Note - you have placed a much higher bid than Liverpool.}

Believable5 Unbelievable5

E have reportedly placed a higher bid than Liverpool.

But feel our name is only being used to up Liverpools offer

Agree6 Disagree1

Rumoured to be about 12million which seems a bit much... Imagine we'd have gone above Liverpools £8million but not by that much!

Agree4 Disagree1

Ed any numbers ?
how much was the bid from liverpool 8 million Euros ?
and how much is th bid from Saints ? {Ed001's Note - I believe Saints bid around 12.5m Euros, and yes Liverpool's bid was around 8m Euros.}

Agree0 Disagree0

An exciting prospect for our club but do feel this could push out puncheon from the squad in the long run as Lallana's return is imminent!

Agree5 Disagree1

Coutinho usualy moves out left if he plays wing, so would imagine Lallana and him contesting for a place if he came

Agree0 Disagree4

Possible midfield three of Ramirez, Lallana and Coutinho?

OH SWEET LORD YES PLEASE.

- TJ

Agree10 Disagree5

Continuo can play right the way across the attacking midfield/wings. He's a class forward thinking player, think he needs some development as regards working with a team though because he has a slight reputation for holding the ball too long at his own feet.

Agree1 Disagree0

Lambert
Countinho, Ramirez, Lallana
Schniederlin, cork
Shaw, Fonte, Forren, Clyne

Worthy of 10th any day

Benjie

Agree7 Disagree4

I always sign coutinho on fifa he is a very exciting prospect. Edd I was flicking though the liverpool pages the other day and I see a couple of comments saying coutinho would be to lightweight for the premier league? Also sorry to question you but could you enlighen us with your source because i'd love it to be true that we are gona nab this wonderkid straight from under liverpools noses again :) Trev. {Ed001's Note - I hate that kind of comment, being lightweight never bothered Zola, Mata, Hazard etc. No, I can't tell you who my source is, sorry. Never give sources or they don't speak to you again with anything!}

Agree0 Disagree2

Ed where is the information coming in from about a Saints bid? {Ed001's Note - all I can say is that it comes from within Inter.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't forget Puncheon, I think we'll rotate the 4 which would be good as it will mean we're always playing the most fit players available and is also good cover.

Agree7 Disagree0

Benjie, we need a keeper in the line-up too mate haha. I think Boruc has played the best out of any of our keepers this season in the last few games...

Agree5 Disagree0

Ed, what do you make of the reports Liverpool have sent a delegation to Milan to negotiate a Coutinho deal? {Ed001's Note - that doesn't fill me with confidence, that means Ian Ayre will be there leading the discussions. I would say that it really depends on whether Ayre is going to stop messing about and pay the money or do his usual and try and play hardball and fail. It is in the balance now, but Southampton do have a bigger offer on the table, so they are still in pole position.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, any idea what sort of wages Coutinho would be demanding? What's your opinion on Pochettino as an influencing factor in Coutinho's decision?

Aussie Saint {Ed001's Note - I don't know what sort of wages he would want, but Pochettino is a trump card for Southampton. Liverpool have the pull of being in Europe and still a big name on the continent. Southampton have the pull of a manager he has worked well with and ambition, obvious ambition too. Plus he wants to play regularly, that is likely to be the decisive factor in his decision, which is, in my opinion, what gives Southampton the position as favourites.}

Agree0 Disagree0

According to a profile of him on the net, he's on 600k a year. We could definitely afford to up that, as it's less than half what we're paying Ramirez.

saints are looking to bring in some new faces this window this is who were linked with

coutinio attacking mid
verdu attacking mid
callejon center forward
alderweireld center back

there the main players were linked with I would take any of them apart from verdu is to old

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Been told that Pochettino is not looking to take anyone from his former club Espanyol. Rules out Verdu doesn't it? As for the others, would all be nice but can't see us forking out that much this window because I think that is over £25,000,000 worth of player with us already having spent 3.5 million on Forren.

Biglia is off to Inter Milan not Saints

Prendernator

Believable5 Unbelievable5

And how are Inter Milan affording it? By selling Coutinho to Saints I would hazard a guess...

St Ripper

Agree5 Disagree2

I'm not sure how Inter are financing it, I'm not their financial advisor but if you google biglia Inter you will find him say inter wants him and he wants inter.

Southampton are preparing €9M (£7M) bid for Ajax Defender Toby Alderweireld. Alderweireld is keen on a move to the Premier League after seeing the success of fellow Country men such as Kompany, Vertonghen, Hazard and Fellaini

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Good signing if we can pull it of

Agree3 Disagree0

I'd love this to be true, but he's of high quality, I fear if a couple of bigger clubs saw/heard this was happening they'd jump on it. (Arsenal and Spurs both been interested in the past)

Agree3 Disagree0

If Spurs want him then lets get Dawson

From what I have read, the three transfers that look most likely are
Coutinho- now that we have upped our bid
Joan Verdu- because he used to play under Coutinho
Lucas Biglia- although he seems to be linked with everyone this transfer window including Arsenal.

Tbh I'd be very happy with Coutinho and Joan Verdu. Coutinho obviously provides pace and skill which we've been missing. And Verdu will provide some strength and goals from midfield hopefully and at 29 he's experienced.

Mini-Saint

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Coutinho was interviewed yesterday and stated that he is happy at milan and what's to progress there..tv

Agree1 Disagree0

Inter have agreed to sign Belhanda, but they might have to sell Coutinho in order to get the money. He might well be happy, but if inter want Belhanda then they'll have to sell Coutinho

Mini-Saint

Agree0 Disagree0

Translation, Coutinho/agent wants more money. How is he happy at inter, he hasn't played there for 2 years.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have to say, I am not sure any of these will happen. Any of them could but I think these are a mix of media dribble and being too late. Verdu was only linked with us as the vague impression he may re-unite with his old boss with seemingly no substance.
Coutinho is a good young player and fits the bill of what we want, but I have doubts would be happy to leave Inter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chamberlin said he was happy here before moving, I reckon loan with a view of a permanent deal
