Southampton have supposedly made an approach for 19 year old Chivas centre forward Erick Torres. Rumour has it they want around $5,000,000. Only have one source confirmed, will post when I have second, with sources.

A striker? This must be a joke we need pacey wingers and good solid defenders.

I would believe we may be interested in Club America central defender Diego Torres. I seriously doubt we're interested in Erick Torres especially not at that price. Here's hoping the source is just mixed up on Torreses.

Well considering my source works for Chivas I doubt that. Still waiting on second source to confirm though, might just be my source blowing smoke to try and get an offer in.
Agree3

Torres can play AMC as well as on the wings if needed so could imagine him coming in and doing just that, has explosive pace and great trickery as well. A little lower on the price and I think he would be a great signing

Are we gonna get him fierro and yaya sanogo? Someone has been playing a but too much FM

Southampton have enquired into the availability of Cheikhou Kouyate of Anderlecht and Senegal. The 22 year old plays as a centre back but can also play defensive midfielder.

What a truly terrible performance. Scored two goals against City but couldn't even put a pass together against Wigan at home. Absolutely pathetic. Defence was all over the place. Hopefully this will give NC and NA a kick up the backside and get some signings rolling in. I was confident we'd at least get a draw in this match. Very dissapointed.

Defence wasn't the main problem today! Alright we haven't got the strongest defence in the league but don't think we need 2 new CB's to replace what we got. The problem was, that we could not break down their defence, which was credit to wigan but we were missing a piece of the jigsaw which I think is Ramirez. If we had that little bit of pace and skill in the side to attack defence and whip balls into the box I don't think 2-0 would have been the result today. Just my opinion
P.s fonte didn't slip for second goal he was fouled! :)

After todays performance against Wigan and the fans clammouring for the managers head, Matt Phillips must be so glad Holloway said he wouldnt let him go to Southampton.

Yeah it wasn't very good but I was second game of season and Wigan are good experienced side so zip it.

All I can say is that after that performance I hate living in Reading.

Our finishing wasn't really very good today, otherwise we would have brushed Wigan aside!
The result was very flattering for Wigan. They only had a couple of shots in the entire game.

Give wigan some credit they have been in the premier league for 7 years

Yea thats right, mighty wigan who struggle every season, soton going down

Last week fox, now fonte, when will na/nc realise we need improvements quick before its to late and were stranded at bottom and a laughing stock, a c/b should've been priority 2mths ago

Poor peformance i agree but wigan do know how to play football and i beleive we need someone like ramirez to break down defences

Winning is winning and losing is losing! We lost not good enough we should be looking to beat every team esecially wigan at home these sort of losses will come back to haunt us at the end of the season. Also i think saints have been rubbish this transfer season only trying to get bargin buys i think that there is somthing fishy going on. like making out we are intersted then pulling out at last minute maybe corteze wants adkins out?
Agree2
Disagree4
The one signing we need is a defensive coach as the current mob couldnt coach under 12's, we got away with it in the other leagues but now we are gonna get found out , same mistakes beingmade must come down to a lack of coaching !
Agree1
Disagree1
Im guessing some of you have only supported saints since we started winning. Well this is the premiership, its going to be tough, very tough. The first Goal was well made and very well taken the second goal was a free kick. Stick Behind the team and the manager. Together as one we can survive and enjoy the Premiership

What is all this negative nonsense??
Has Adkins said we are not signing any more players? No, just the opposite.
The club is extremely ambitious and wants to develop an approach quite different to that normally practised in the football world. This has been made very clear to the supporters, but at the first set-backs the whingers take an opportunity to take a dig at the management. You really must be recent converts because if you can remember the previous crowd you would recognise how lucky we are.
Still a top half finish this season I think you will find, and you wouldn't appreciate that if it came too easy!

2nd goal a free kick! Get real, fonte had enough time to put the ball back into there box first time, there was no need to try and turn someone esp when you were last man, these little mistakes WILL cost us, sort it out its not league1/championahip any more
Agree2

I have been a siants supporter my hole entiere life i love the saints (shows how much you know) if it was left to fans like you we would most deffenatly go down.also i never said that i wanted adkins out i like adkins as a manager but dont think corteze has pushed to give him what he wants this transfer season.

I'm sorry but Clyne is one of the best Right backs around we don't need Stam especially if he's not good enough to be a first choice at Wigan.

Clyne seemed lost most of today's game, but he's a lot better than Stam!
