Southampton are believed to be interested in signing Spain international winger Santiago Cazorla González from Malaga. Sunderland and West Ham are also interested in the 27 year old, however there is likely to be competition from bigger clubs.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Uh yeah um a Spanish international, who is wanted by Arsenal?

None of the clubs you mentioned stand a chance!

Agree7 Disagree3

Nope, he's going to Arsenal, they have agreed personal terms

JustASaint

Agree5 Disagree1

1. There is no way we can afford this!
2. He's going to Arsenal for £16m
3 don't post rubbish!

Agree8 Disagree0

Cazorla has agreed to sign for Arsenal. This is so far wide of the mark it's almost laughable.

Agree3 Disagree0

I doubt it would happen as arsenal are after him

Agree3 Disagree0

One of the worst rumours ever to grace this page. real madrid and barcelona have had bids rejected. Arsenal have discussed terms with him but malaga dont want to sell. This kind of thing gives the website a bad name

Agree2 Disagree0

Its people like these that are making are club look like a joke writing stupid things like this giving all those skates a chance to laugh at us

Agree3 Disagree0

The skates have to try to laugh at something. Its pretty sh*t at the end
Of the south coast coyr

Agree1 Disagree1

These skates are ridiculous!
Rather than waste your time on our blog try doing some busking to save your pathetic little club..... I know 1 pound is a lot of money for you measly peasants but pull your finger out!
Rant over!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't do something on Championship Manager then post it as a real world reality... It's like drinking by yourself sooner or later the rot will set in

Saints in for Kayal from Celtic, a fee of around 5million is believed to get his services

JustASaint

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Kayal going nowhere and certainly not for £5 million

Agree3 Disagree6

We don't need anymore central midfielders

Agree2 Disagree3

My source is the Telegraph and NewsNow

Why is it that every celtic player is worth silly money, they are in a weak league, even more so that rangers have been demoted.Scottish football is poor & not many of celtics player would make it in the premiership.Get real celtic fans

Agree4 Disagree6

Im a saints fan though and through and belive we are strong enough in midfeild and spend the money elsewhere in the team, although Kayal is a good player but im only posting what i hear and read

^^"Why is it that every celtic player is worth silly money, they are in a weak league, even more so that rangers have been demoted.Scottish football is poor & not many of celtics player would make it in the premiership.Get real celtic fans"

They are not worth silly money. They are worth the same as lower league prem players would be... a few million moving up to £8 million for the best players. That is realistic considering they are in Europe, winning their league and have a larger fan base than most UK clubs. Yes the league is terrible but they are a big club. The fact Rangers recently got liquidated and demoted has NO relevance on the valuation of their current players you muppet. It might mean there is less money in the league in the future, but the current crop of players are still worth the same!

You are an embarrassment. If Celtic want to keep Kayal they will keep him over Saints and they have a right to value him how they want. They did exactly the same with Hooper... you can laugh off their valuations all you like, but end of day Hooper still plays for Celtic because that is what they valued him as, and Saints didn't. If NA doesn't value Kayal at over £5million then he won't buy him, but Celtic are entitled to put whatever price tag they want on THEIR players.

I support saints and Celtic are an easy target to shoot down, but they don't need to sell to us and we have only just been promoted so have some humility.

JJ

Agree4 Disagree2

Well said JJ. I know it's ancient history and all that, but Celtic were the first British side to win the European Cup in 67, lest we forget. He does look a good player, in my opinion. A young Steve Williams would do us now ; )

Agree3 Disagree0

Agree JJ..

Celtic are a big club and even if they were not, nobody has to sell a player under contract. The issue Celtic will have is to keep their players motivated - as they will win their league by 20-30 pts for the next 3 years. I would expect a reduction in global interest (not local) in the SPL because of this. To this end I expect some players (esp non Scottish) will want to move for a bit more competition.

The issue for clubs signing players is to assess how they will play for a far less dominant side..

On this move - it is in the Telegraph and they have a good record of reporting the truth when it comes to football so I reckon Saints have made a bid.. I just dont think Saints need another midfielder - spend 5M on a good defender instead!

SS

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic have a strong midfield. one of Ki, Kayal, Wanyama to be sold. Brown and Ledley will be kept along with Commons and Forrest. Mceough and Twardzik will get a lot more game time if champs league qualification doesnt go to plan. I hope this isnt the case but 7million for one of the three mentioned will be difficult for NL to turn down given the strength/quality of CM's at his disposal

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic winning a cup 45 years ago has nothing to do with anything. Although I do agree with JJ's points.

Buttners agent says "my gut feeling is he is still going to Southampton" Source BBC Radio Solent and what ever passes for teletext these days see pages 3/4 of the unrelated Snodgrass story.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

That was 2 weeks ago!

Agree3 Disagree0

He said that ages ago!

Agree3 Disagree0

This is true. Apparently it is being held up by reluctance on Vitesse's end to sell and thus they have gone back on the agreed transfer fee with Saints.

Buttner still wants to move to Saints and his agent said yesterday about the transfer with Southampton "He just wants to play football right now and he is ready for the next step in his career" and that he has asked Vitesse three times why they won't let him go.

JJ

Agree7 Disagree0

Snodgrass going to norwich, fee agreed between the two clubs this morning SSN

Agree5 Disagree2

This is true, looks like it could be back on, buttner and his agents have been trying to address the problem with vitesse but they dont want to sell him so are stalling it, maybe there is no third party hence it was an unknown barrier

JustASaint

Agree2 Disagree0

Buttner is training with vitesse reserve team.. they made him train with them as hes still due to leave and didnt want to unsettle the 1st team - chris

Agree2 Disagree0

I know hes training with the reserves due to him going to leave but the possibility of him agreeing a new contract on personal terms with saints is growing but its still hanging in the balance

JustASaint

Agree2 Disagree1

It seems like a lot of effort to sign him while we could be looking at other players! Is he that good that NC is going through this much trouble?

Southampton have lodged a £4.5 million bid fpr celtic defender emilio Izaguirre
mike

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Wouldn't we rather get a CB in first?! Foxy will do us fine for the first few games at least

Agree2 Disagree2

Its Kayal your interested in not Izaguirre

Agree1 Disagree5

^Pretty sure we aren't doing one signing at a time! There will be a few going on don't worry, we will definitely be getting at least 1 CB in before the season begins!

JJ

Agree2 Disagree0

It is true about izaguirre, was mentioned on celtic tv last night- chris

hooiveld tweeted last night that saints have signed a new player that everyone calls "bruv" and that puncheon cant stop talking about him! does anyone know who this is?

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Sarcasm. Clearly. Bruv.

Agree8 Disagree2

Its a joke-it is just the way puncheon speaks. it is notactually a real player

Agree5 Disagree2

You do realize he was taking the mick out of the way Puncheon talks, and not that we have actually signed anybody

Agree6 Disagree2

You'd Assume he was referring to Clyne.. Who knows

Agree4 Disagree3

That was a joke about puncheon referring to people as bruv. not actually a new signing!

Agree5 Disagree2

Think he could be joking and taking the mick out of puncheon calling everyone bruv

Agree5 Disagree2

I can't believe you actually posted this haha! Its clearly a joke.

Can't stop laughing at this post.

Southampton have been told by the English FA not to pay the £750'000 compensation to Rangers over the transfer of Steve Davis.

This is because oldco rangers aren't owed money as they sold the players contracts to newco. However Newco are not considered a football team yet as they have not agreed a deal with the SFA.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

No they haven't. It has been suggested payment is held back until Rangers licence is approved.

Agree4 Disagree1

Southampton have been told not to pay Rangers... Yet.
We will if the Rangers are granted league status. That's not garunteed though!
