Rafinha from barca coming this week. {Ed001's Note - Rafinha plays for Bayern.}

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Har de Har de Har!! how d'ya feel mate?

Agree6 Disagree0

Is he not a right back aswell that's not what we need

Agree3 Disagree0

Why would we sign another rb stupid rumour

Agree1 Disagree0

Poor knowledge ed, rafinha is a 20yo brazilian mid who plays for barca b, younger brother of Thiago Alcantera who plays for the main team {Ed001's Note - hardly poor knowledge, he is not known as Rafinha by anyone other than a tiny contingent. The Spanish refer to him as Rafa Alcantera. I would take their way of looking at it over yours.}

Agree8 Disagree2

Assuming this is Rafa Alcantara, brother of Thiago, rather then Rafinha of Bayern. Both referred to as Rafinha. I could see this happening and hope it does, though being honest I do have doubts.

- Taber

Agree0 Disagree1

I concur! He is a bayern player

Agree1 Disagree1

There's two. One plays for Barcelona. Either way it's probably bull.

Agree2 Disagree0

It's Rafa Alacantara. Saints have been looking at taking 1 or 2 of the young players in the Barcelona be team on loan for quite a while. The new managers football connections in Barcelona have only made it more likely. Still might not happen though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafa Alcantara is more highly thought of in Spain as a prospect than Thiago. I'd imagine this as very unlikely. Who knows though... I'm learning to expect the unexpected with Saints!

Agree0 Disagree0

Either way I would happily take a bet with anyone that this isn't going to happen

Agree1 Disagree0

This is getting silly now MP was at esspanyol, he has no ties to the barca a or be team as they would be arch rivals, at leaast make up constructive rubbish

Papers in Netherlands reporting that Saints have had a bid accepted for Jeremain Lens.

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Give me a link and I might actually believe you

Agree6 Disagree3

Im in the army and a saints fan. one of my best mates in the army went to school with a current saints player, i'm not saying who.
but trust me when I say saints are not getting anymore players coming in this transfer window.
trust me !!

Agree6 Disagree6

Why would a player know out transfer targets?

Lenny

Agree6 Disagree1

Saints ARE NOT signing anymore players this transfer window so can everyone stop linking us with players. The squad is strong enough to keep us in the prem league. In the summer we will sign some new players

Agree6 Disagree9

"No one can forcast the actions of NC, He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma; But perhaps there is a key. That key is Southampton Football Clubs best interest." W. Churchill just changed a little to sum our Saints up these days. So who knows what will happen guess we will all have to till 11pm Thursday.

Agree5 Disagree0

Google "Jeremain Lens 2013" and there's a tv link on which there's a topic on how we're interested in this lad - but it's dated July 2012!

And this from Tribalfootball "..... The Dutchman saw a summer offer from Southampton turned down by PSV"

...and.....

"If I really wanted to go to Southampton, then I would have made a fuss. The Premier League or the Bundesliga, is where I want to go"

Maybe he'll change his tune a little?

Agree3 Disagree0

Look on Saints twitter-Jermaine Lens indicated there.

I think Saints will bring in at least one more player before the end of the window.

Certainly do not believe that they are not looking to do so (that is just standard smoke and mirrors by the club) but of course nothing is easy in the January window and agents/clubs could just make it impossible.

Agree4 Disagree1

Pochettino is on record as saying he is not looking to make signings because of lack of time also a tweet from Simpon Peach who is close to the Saints set up warning us no to expect any more signings this window..

Agree2 Disagree0

How is this Mauricio Pochettino team with no transfers in its NA team the same team that played so well against Everton the other night even forran was NA signing where's the big names courtinho bigila vadu to name a few fact is he wanted them but they did not what us! totally agree with these pm's if the club want are trust they must put there money were the mouth is?

Agree3 Disagree6

I think the idea MP isn't going to make signings is getting a little twisted. He is playing it cool and showing faith in his squad publicly. If you go on record as desperate for players (Redknapp at QPR) the price for players gets driven up. It's a poker game. I'm sure we are in for players for this final push. I believe out run in is fairly favourable and we could make great progress with one or two more.

Jannersaint.

Agree7 Disagree1

To the post re NA team not MP, surely its NC Team, forren said today he never met NA, MP happy with team he inherited, he'll also be happy with anyone NC buys.
NC is cute in business, expect the unexpected, in Nicola we trust
Proper saint

Agree4 Disagree1

Forren was absolutely a Cortese signing, he's all but admitted that he knew about the change of management before he came, and has never spoken to Adkins (interview on Saints player).

I still think we will get one more player before Friday - need a attacking midfielder/winger to provide competition for the Lallana/Ramirez/Puncheon front line - sorry but Do Prado just doesn't cut it (and he's injured)

Agree5 Disagree0

Why does everybody keep getting on the back of NC and MP when these players they are after decide not to come to the Saints. Leave it to them I am sure they will get it right. Trouble is most of you lot keep posting unfounded and ridiculous information about players coming here which is basically made up. Just remember where we were in 2010 and where we are now. Keep the faith and don't get on their backs if we get a bad result at Old Trafford, when you want to point fingers remember the 6 -1 at Arsenal and 2 - 0 against Wigan etc. etc. before you start knocking the new manager. Never know we might get some luck and get a good result, you never know.

Agree5 Disagree0

Lens is exactly the sort of player we need, and there is much spec about him an saints. Although Its old news, its constant, from last summer non stop till now. He'll do in the prem what Guly did in League 1 for us.

I personally know the agent of Kenwyn Jones from his time down here at Saints and he tells me Saints have offered £3.5m for the striker on a 2 and a half year contract. Stoke seem reluctant but may budge with an increased offer

Believable3 Unbelievable23

He would be a brave man to come
Back to saints.
After going on strike to engineer a move.

Agree14 Disagree4

No thanks!

Agree10 Disagree0

No mercenaries need apply.

Agree7 Disagree0

I'm not sure we'd take Kenwynne back (as with the above posts!) NC doesn't seem to like re-signed ex players... Can see why we may want someone in his mould though - Sir Rickie isn't getting any younger and we do like to play with Tragetman striker upfront (good with feet and in the air) and we have no backup like that if Lambert is unavailable...

Agree6 Disagree2

Better not be true

Agree6 Disagree1

He's not fit 2 lace Jay Rod's boots let alone Lamberts. Injury prone Donkey Whos goal ratio is shocking Talk about 1 step forward 3 back you clearly don't have a Clue

Agree8 Disagree2

Nonone has mentioned that kenwyne jones is rubbish yet

st stuie

Agree3 Disagree1

But he is a darn site better than Jay Rod who is not a Prem player at all. At least Jones is great in the air.

Agree3 Disagree10

Have a feeling J Rod will come good - needs more game time as a striker

Agree5 Disagree2

J-Rod is going to be awesome. Jones is rubbish.

Prendernator

Agree9 Disagree1

I take it cricket is your game son, kenwyne better than j rod ha ha ha ha

Agree4 Disagree3

We will see the real j rod now adkins has gone, this boys going to be class.............kenwyne ha ha ha

Sly reporting that Saints are interested in Moussa Konate who impressed at the Olympics. Can't see it happening myself but you never know I guess.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Reported that we were. Possibly interested in a summer move

Agree2 Disagree1

He only joined Krasnodar in the summer, so I doubt he'd move until the end of the season

Reports in Germany are suggesting that Southampton are monitoring Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino as Hoffenheim could be prepared to sell the player, who has a contract with the Bundesliga club until June 2015.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

Very old news

Agree5 Disagree0

People are disagreeing but every sports news facility is reporting this story.

No chance. This is rubbish.
He looks awful

Southampton are looking to raid Crystal Palace for talented winger Yannick Bolasie. A fee is close to being agreed supposedly with rumours of it being around 5 million pounds. Apparently he is quite the talent.

Source - I have a colleague who is currently a rather disgruntled Crystal Palace fan.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Havent palace just sold zaha? i'm pretty sure they wouldn't sell their other experienced winger, can't see this happening

st stuie

Agree6 Disagree3

And what does this disgruntled fan do get this kind of information... They just got £15m for Zaha, they are in no need to sell.

Agree2 Disagree1

This kid does look amazing I have to admit. Fits the mould I would say but you have to ask yourself is this why MP was brought into the club? I thought with his contacts we would attract bigger names. This is the sort of signing I would of expected NA to sign!! But nevertheless he looks like he could be even better than Zaha!!

Agree2 Disagree2

Doubt it, Holloway personally hates SFC

Agree6 Disagree2

They might have just sold zaha, but he's not going to utd until july. could see this happening

Agree1 Disagree2

Personally do not think anyone will be signed in this transfer window
But a couple may leave

Agree3 Disagree1

I used to watch him at argyle on those days I chose to self harm. A little list at times but clearly had potential. Very fast and athletic. I think he is technically not good enough though.

Jannersaint

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have got him when he was at Plymouth. They were in trouble financially, and we could have picked him up for next to nothing.

Agree1 Disagree0

Crystal Palace didn't need to sell Zaha, but as soon as he wanted to move on as he heard tales of United interest they pretty much had no option, sounds like Bolasie may leave with similar reasoning, he just thinks his time at the club is at an end. To be honest what is the point of hanging onto a player when he doesn't want to stay? It'll just reduce the work ethic, lead to attitude problems and can spread negativity around the camp.

Southampton are closing in on the signig of Argentine prospect Lucas Mugni, 21, who plays for Colón in Argentina and was called up by the national team this past November.

Mugni, an AM who can also operate on the left would not require a work permit as he has a Spanish passport.

Deal will cost around the 4m mark.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Would be a good addition, young, got good potential and possibly could make the side.

Agree4 Disagree4

Cant see this lad getting ahead of tadanari and derridder let alone puncheon sneiderlin lallana ramirez, can't imagine we would spend 4 million on a 21 year old with only 40 games under his belt, i'm not expecting this to happen

st stuie

Agree2 Disagree4

Its juventus and ac milan fighting for him
