Saints are reportedly interested in Geoff Cameron, a 26 yeard old CB who has 3 U.S.A caps

Ive heard its DeLaGarza of LA Galaxy, 24 years old. but your right about it being a americian defender

It is Geoff Cameron from Houston Dynamo. I know this as Joe Prince Wright who wrote the story and is a free lance journalist for MLS is a friend of mine!

I also read the report, Cameron highly rated over there. He is a pacey centre back and would fit Southampton's set up, but I believe he could link up well with either Gorkks or Tompkins as both other teams have been "sniffing around"

Seems like a done deal
SAINTS are hoping to complete the signing of Jay Rodriguez when the Burnley striker returns from holiday in Mexico.
A deal, thought to be worth about £7m, has been agreed between the clubs for the 22-year-old, who is due back in England next week.
The fee would smash Saints previous transfer record of £4m, which they paid for Rory Delap in 2001.

Rodriquez would replace Lambert who is too slow and too fat for prem - he will join Sheff Wed for £3m.

Are you insane same was said of Grant Holt look what he did and lambert has way more strings in his bow set pieces alone... Your deluded my friend :)

More like J-Rod would partner Lambert. Or sure, why not get rid of our top scorer! That's certain to keep us in the PL!

Insane,jealous,and childish.

I love lambert, amazing player. but seriously, i cant remember the last time he scored from a direct free kick.

What do direct free kicks got do with it? 27 LEAGUE GOALS are what matter.

Must be a skate that slated Lambert. Can't even spell RodriGuez when copying it.

Rickie, and Jay up front with Billy as the (very far forward) point of a diamond mid.
Or even playing Jay as a cutting inwards winger to offer support to Rickie and Billy.
Either way, Rickie is not leaving. They will find away to work in all three of the above names.
You also need to remember Rickie's age. Jay is young enough to be thought of as a replacment in a year or two.
My money is on Rickie getting at least 17 this season, not only do we want him here but more importently, we need him.

^Not playing 3 up front in the prem mate (which is essentially what you are describing)
We would play lambert and j-rod up front. Standard 4-4-2, if that doesn't work play lee and lallana further forward in a 4-5-1 with lambert or jay rod up top lone striker. Won't play sharp with lambert and jay rod, sharp will be depth of squad, not first 11.

michu going to Man UTD for £3m. Saints looking to bolster the goalkeeping front by signing Kasper Schmiechel from leicester for £2.5m. Also Thomas Ince,Chris Humphries and a big name foreign signing from Italy.........maybe Del piero

Del piero! He is 37!

Why would we sign a 37 year old striker when we've just bid £7m for a 22 year old striker? And I think Tom Ince would be a good signing

Michu won't go man u they nearly signed kugawa japan international from Dortmund

Kasper schmeical would be an amazing signing ! v good keeper indeed :)

Tom Ince I can see us getting. The others seem unlikely. Especially Humphreys, who has only played up to League One and the SPL....can't see that happening.

Michu schmiechel and ince would be great looks like we have Rodriguez
All we need now is a prem quality full backs and a CB to play and use fonte or hooiveld as cover
Maybe senderous or upson

Chris HUMPHREY is an international player now, and would be a great signing for Saints. Humphrey played for Jamaica last weekend and played a blinder!
