Southampton to bid £3,450,000 for 1. FC Koln's pacy Right winger Slawomir Peszko. The Polish international has caught the eye of many teams around europe after a great season in the Bundesliga a year after he left Lech Poznan.

Why do we need another right winger??
We definitely need defenders and I'd say our main priority has to be a Central midfielder.
We struggled in midfield because we have midfielders who sit too deep.

Centre mids , i would like to see a player with flair.. after man utd have signed that japan international midfielder from dortmund, wonder if we stand a chance of getting ANDERSON on loan from utd.. he does find it hard to get regualer starts

Of course we need a right winger. puncheon and de ridder will not be premiership standard. playing central midfielders in the wide role like last season is not the answer. definitely an area we need to strengthen

We have Puncheon who barely gets a game and will be sold hopefully to bring in Ince or Matty Philips, and we have chaplow who isnt an out and out winger, we struggled last season against a few teams as we relied on adam too much, defo need another winger for the prem, maybe 2

We need a winger because we haven't really replaced chamberlain, guly and de ridder aren't good enough IMO for the premier league. In CM we have cork,Hammond,schneiderlin and chaplow who are all capable of the step up, but I do agree we ncould do with some prem experience in there. As for the defence I think we need 2 CB's and a right back. I ALS think jack Butland would be a good keeper to sign

Hammond and chaplow wont cut it, no chance of getting anderson on loan

Saints will always target players that a) fit the purchase policy, b) are a good investment, c) will be an improvement on what we have.

Adkins will not be looking at the team and saying we could do with a CM or Fullbacks or a Striker. They will just say Jay Rod looks like a reasonable investment at 7m. Lets see if we can get a deal done.

There are better players out there than Guly , Steve or even dare I say it Lambert
