The daily fail today is reporting two things;

First, that Morgan Schneiderlin is to be scouted by Arsenal on Sunday ahead of a potential move in the summer (Ah, now this one takes me back. ).

Second, that Luke Shaw is set for 'talks' with Southampton after Sunday. It suggests the talks are about whether or not he is allowed to leave, but with the sheer volume of presumption in this article it isn't really worth a mention.

This really is going to get worse before it gets better isn't it. It's going to be a long summer gents. Brace yourselves, mindless speculation is coming.

Listening to Ralph Kruger speak at the players awards, I believe that Shaw is very happy where he is & the chairman has been batting of calls by saying NOT FOR SALE

Agree8 Disagree2

Agree its going to be a tough couple of months with speculation. Think Shaw will go, don't think Lallana or Spider. J-Rods injury might be a blessing in disguise as its taken him off the radar.

Caulker and Ings in for me with a new left back as replacement. Targett to play cover until he is ready (like Chambers did)

What did Pochettino say at this year's awards? Last year Ed got him speaking English and he said Saints were like a 'family' to him. I missed this year's and the YouTube broadcast. Did MP speak - no media mention, so just wondering whether he said anything that could give a hint as to whether he was staging? I know what Les Read said, but take all that with a pinch of salt. Seems AL is waiting to see what happens to MP in the summer before deciding.

Agree2 Disagree1

If we want to challenge for top 6 I think we should look into the possibility of signing players like griezmann vela and caulker all would fit into mp system and show intention of improving which could lead to players staying

Agree2 Disagree3

Not sure about caulker having seen him a few times on box did not impress, also see that ex Cardiff player in press today stating that caulker reason for poor defensive record

Agree3 Disagree0

Caulker is a solid young English cb and will play better with a partner like lovren didn't have that at Cardiff

Agree5 Disagree2

I think people have let the hype of caulker being young and English take over a bit, I've seen him in quite a few games this season and he's disappointed me. He's a solid mid-table cb but he's not an improvement on fonte imo

Absolutely love this story, 'Arsenal to scout Schneiderlin'. Fantastic journalism! It reminds me of other wonderful journalistic gems, such as the unforgettable 'Man from London watches football match on the South Coast' story or 'person writes on notepad while watching combative Frenchman'. These stories take my mind off more trivial news such as 'Ukraine Crisis' or 'arsenal leak story to press to unsettle player'.

Thank you, the Daily Epic Fail for shielding from the horrible reality of truth!

Agree6 Disagree0

Shaw has said he wants to leave. It's well known at the club. It's getting a bit silly now. Why are so many fans so resistant to reality. He won't leave, he won't leave, he loves this club, oh he's gone

Agree1 Disagree8

Shaw has never said that he wants to leave, he said that it could happen but at the moment he is happy here. Calm down

Free scarves at Swansea was a good move (shame that ours were gone before we got there!) and the sight of them being twirled was a lump in the throat moment, bring them on Saturday.
