Stevo98 leave it out, poor Ed I'm sure will comment if he has something to add, you don't have to keep nagging and asking same question like a desperate kid who needs reassurance.

Sorry I just want the situation sorted. Hi rocket could we see a double announcement? His much would he be?
Agree1

Its a bit to early to say really mate, but that's not currently the plan.
Im still fully expecting Koeman to be announced by Friday at the latest and I think the feeling is, that this appointment will go someway towards winning back the fans. I think'll they'll want to announce it seperate and make it more special.
As far as Pelle goes, its still at an early stage so could go either way.
I wouldn't get your hopes hinged on Pelle. They've got some good targets lined up & i'm sure Koeman will have his own to add to the shortlist.

Not really sure on cost as its not been agreed. I believe they're expecting about €8m
Agree2

Ok thanks rocket, how many strikers do you think we're get in? Who are the other targets? How many years is koemans contract? So you garauntee he will be our new manager this week ROCKET?

No doubt about it mate, its been a lock for at least a week.
We're looking for 4 players + 1 replacement per first teamer that leaves.
So if Shaw & Lallana do go, we'll want 6. Hope that makes sense?
2 of which will definately be strikers.
Agree2

Ok sorry for mass questions, sounds positive, hope your right, anything on kit? Hope we get koeman and buy 5 decent players Coyr and they're prolific

Hi ROcket is your source reliable? Sorry for mass questions, anything on the kit? Which positions are we looking at?
Agree1

I have heard rumours Nike could be the next kit manufacturer, which could look good for saints with veho on it aswell. I don't think they'll unveil the new kits too soon, maybe instead late June when things have settled a bit at the club.
Agree2

^can't announce new kits until after july 1st as that's when aap3's contract expires and veho's starts

WorldSoccerTalk is reporting that Dani Osvaldo will be moving to Internazionale on loan for the 14/15 season.
Believable6
Unbelievable2
Inter are interested in Osvaldo but appear cautious because of his track record of falling out with players. They have made a loan offer with an option to buy in an attempt to hedge the risk of signing Osvaldo but Southampton want him off the books on a permanent deal so look set to hold out unless Inter offer a large loan fee.

I don't think anyone knows what's happening with the players yet. That what the meetings about with the new gaffer on monday. I should expect osvaldo will go, but ultimately its down to Koeman

Osvaldo could have been an inspirational signing but unfortunately the guy seems to go into meltdown at the most inopertune times. Don't be surprised if he is given another chance by the incoming manager, players of his class are not readily available to clubs like Saints

Agree with Rocket. If we get Koeman then it'll be up to him what happens and who knows, maybe he will be able to get the best out of him. Lord knows we need a striker or three. I would like the Osvaldo thing sorted asap though. We have a lot of money tied up in him and if he isn't coming back which looks increasingly likely, then let's hope we can get a lot of the money back
Agree4

Hope so but hope they buy him
Agree3

Best thing for Osvaldo to do is to knuckle down at Saints for a year/ 1/2 a year instead of pushing for a deal he's unlikely to get. I'm sure everyone at Saints would be forgiving considering we have invested heavily in him and give him another shot, and if he still isn't happy I'm sure someone will come knocking for him in January when they're desperate *cough cough* QPR offer big wages and money *cough cough*

Koeman speaks fluent English and Spanish. I personally know 2 players families and they do not have a clue what is going on at st marys, they have made no reference to mass dissatisfaction amongst the players and doubt that many will leave.

There is a couple of lines out of the newspapers recently which suggest that this mass 'exodus' which the media stated would happen about month ago will now probably (hopefully) won't happen.
Firstly, Liverpool are reportedly going to end their interest in Lallana as they are not willing to reach our valuation of him. It would take Lallana to hand in a transfer request to get his move, but even then, we will not lower our valuation of him.
Secondly, it is being reported that Man United are going to end their interest in Shaw and opt to sign Jordi Alba instead.
Finally, it is being reported that Koeman is going to have a second meeting with the saints' board after impressing the saints' hierarchy. It is also being reported that a manager (most probably Koeman) will be unveiled bu the end of the week.
Signs are looking good and the talks of a mass 'exodus' are now looking less and less likely to happen. COYR!

The talks of a mass exodus were the papers trying to make a story out of nothing, this mass exodus was never really on the cards in the first place.
Agree13
Disagree4
That all sounds good, hope your right, only problem with that is Man U will never get Alba, so Shaw is a more realistic target for them, but hopefully he'll stay
Agree4
Disagree0
Let's hope Lambert is the only one from the selected first team last year to go, we have a great squad, which we can build on. The mass exodus has been constructed far and wide, including MOTD pundits. Hopefully our board will hold strong and hopefully we'll attract and sign that high-calibre manager Freddie K spoke of
Agree4
Disagree0
Man Utd & Liverpool are both suggesting other targets in order to try to put pressure on the Board to sell. I have no doubt that Lallana, Shaw and probably Morgan will be gone after the World Cup. Hopefully they will all get the opportunity to impress as this will help our valuation. I don't want them to go, as I'm sure most Saints fans don't. However, economics will prevail. They will be replaced and we will move on.
Agree4
Disagree10
Economics will prevail? I fear you don't understand the core principles of the subject.
I doubt the saints board will let all 3 go, an incoming manager would definitely want to maintain at least one of the key figures in the team suggesting that Schneiderlin or Lallana would stay at the very least.
Agree3
Disagree2
The only reason Lambert left was because he had a chance to play for his dream club and saints didn't want to hold him back.

I think it comes down to if the manager (Koeman?) can persuade them to stay one more year to push for top 4 or Europa league minimum. Doubt it will be possible (to persuade everyone to stay) but Koeman is a big name and could make good signings to add to the squad.
Agree2
Disagree0
Let's clear up the economics first Phil:
1/ People Choose: I believe Lallana and Shaw have both chosen Liverpool and Manchester United and that if Wenger comes calling Schneiderlin may choose Arsenal
2/ All Choices Involve Cost: Lallana will have to put in a transfer request or Liverpool will have to meet our valuation. Shaw is likely to be done at a cost of circa £30m, Morgan, let's wait and see. Cost to Saints in losing them is we need to find replacements.
3/ People Respond to Incentives: Champions League football for Adam, a huge club in the case of Luke and CL, French Manager, could be argued improved National team selection for Morgan.
4/ The 'Rules of the game' influence individual choices: As 3/ + cash + realising ambitions, big club/little club factors e. g. marketability.
5/ Voluntary trade creates wealth: We will trade when we are ready, when we perceive the value to be right and also the terms are right.
6/ The consequences of choices lie in the future: Ask Gareth Bale
Right, back to the football.
I agree we need a good spine to our team and that losing Morgan and Adam is not ideal. However, I feel they are replaceable and have every confidence that if we get Koeman or someone of a similar standing we will make some great additions.
Let's see what happens. One thing that unites us all is that we want The Saints to be successful.
