Not a rumour, but has anyone heard anything more about Danish centre back Simon kjaer? Heard the rumour a while back, and looked solid at the euros.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Seems likely that this was just paper talk.

Agree5 Disagree1

Wanted by bigger clubs - chris

Agree5 Disagree2

Two things:

1) For some inexplicable reason he is wanted by some big names.

2) He is Not actually a very good defender (always a bit of a drawback for a central defender)

Also, it's all just board chatter, never been in for him

Hello
some good rumours around today,

Ed38 - anything on the Zaha deal, i'm hearing that we have tabled 6m?

Rodwell was being talked about a few weeks ago, but has gone quiet since, i thimk we'd be a little down the picking order for him at this stage

Spoon
Barnard to Watford looks to be happening mate

Anyone going to Man city?

Chalkie {Ed038's Note - I have not heard that mate but I will try find out.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Yeah sorry this was supposed to be a comment on who are you

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope the Wilfed Zaha rumours are true. However, he's meant to be having a lot of interest from bigger clubs. Let's just hope.

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree2

Zaha done nothing against saints. I'd prefer Adomah (Bristol City) who was immense against us at St Mary's. £6m is far too much for either as they are both inconsistent.

Agree0 Disagree3

Barnard ist going to watford

Agree1 Disagree2

I heard this as well mate, though i'm not sure if its a good move for him but considering his age though its probably his best option
Spoon ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think Zaha would be a good buy, too arrogant already!

Steven Davis, and his fellow ex Rangers colleagues, have been refused international clearance by the Scottish FA with newco Rangers demanding compensation for players whose contracts were terminated and who then refused to transfer those contracts to the new Rangers company.

Anybody know a decent lawyer?

Steven Davis, Steven Naismith, Steven Whittacker, Kyle Laffety and Jamie Ness have all been refused international clearance by the Scottish FA following their moves to new clubs after the implosion of Rangers.

It's expected that FIFA will grant temporary registrations while they rule on the matter of whether newco Rangers have any claim whatsoever to the players and indeed, whether they are entitled to compensation.

Quite what this has to do with the Scottish FA, who last time I checked, have still not worked out where to put Rangers in the Scottish leagues after Premiership clubs refused to allow them back in, is beyond me. The players are free agents, they have had their contracts terminated by Glasgow Rangers so the Scottish FA simply should've approved the transfers and treated them as unattached players, which is the standpoint of the Scottish PFA, with chairman Tony Higgins saying last week.

'I haven't spoken to a single employment or sports solicitor who agrees with Mr Green's (newco Rangers owner) interpretation of the law.'

Mr Green has apparently contacted all English clubs to warn them that the leaving players are in breach of contract.

Source: BBC.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

DONT PANIC - rangers have nothing to loose by doing this ----- compensation is what there after here

Chalkie

Agree4 Disagree0

I would suggest Saints legal advisers are streets ahead of the rabble at Rangers. They are a club who are in the same category as Pompey now-don't care who they try and rip off!

Saint Martin

Agree3 Disagree3

Southampton would do the same, these are quality players and they (Rangers) should be intitled to something, they have to replace them, the only people who are suffering here are the Rangers supporters "ordinary guys like yourselves.

Agree4 Disagree3

Rangers are clutching at straws trying to get some money of the players they are losing. They have no claim as like you said, they terminated their contracts.

Lenny

Agree4 Disagree0

To Saint Martin? shouldn't call people rabble, it's not nice, you let yourself down, so stop acting the tough guy, hope Southampton finish in the top half next season and win the F.A. Cup. Rangers supporter

Agree11 Disagree1

Green transferred the contracts to Newco, so it is now a point of law, we'll see who's right,Coventry met Rangers and came up with a suitable deal for Robert Fleck when they could have went down the other road. {Ed038's Note - According to the lawyers of Steven Whittaker & Steven Naismith Sevco don't have a leg to stand on,e.g You are contracted to Company A and they go bust, you don't automatically switch to Company B as you are not contracted to them,you no longer have a contract to any company and that means you are a free agent.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Remember it's "THE Rangers" now NOT just Rangers, they are two different companies. Makes all the difference legally

Agree1 Disagree0

Not calling the Rangers supporters a rabble but the management! Obviously feel sympathy for the supporters but the management have been shocking and this should not be allowed to happen in a large business where people are supposed to show fit and proper ability to own and operate.
Like our own neighbours your management (directors) will have defrauded many local businesses and they will be lucky to get any sizeable return, although I understand it may be better than the 2p in the £ that the Pompey creditors will receive.
I don't see my attitude is being "tough". It is about time everyone in football, including supporters, made their voices heard that those who do spend other peoples money in a search to boost their own egos do not have a place in our sport. It's not only kicking the club's supporters in the teeth, but also all the supporters of any competing club who try and play it straight.

Saint Martin

Agree3 Disagree0

Green doesn't have a leg to stand on, Davis et all were never contracted to the Newco, and their old employer no longer exists!

Saints have made a bid for Kyle Naughton of around £5m. Believed to have been rejected but my understanding is that we will be back in with an improved offer.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

What is your source?

Lenny

Agree1 Disagree2

Wish this was true, would be a great signing (support for richardson ;) obviously) - Sam R

Agree3 Disagree1

Didn't you say this yesterday on here and never left ys name or sorce

Chalkie

It's on football365 plus friends with a player (not going to say which one!) we are definately in for him but so are a few larger clubs. Will depend if he wants a game each week or not!

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Deal for buttner was only agreed last friday evening when it was made public- chris. and if you search about a month ago, i said that saints were wanting davis, but people disagreed with me- chris

Saints to offer contract to out of contract midfielder Junior Hoilett. Sources close to the club say deal will be offered within the week

Believable8 Unbelievable14

Bbe have said this , this morning "Manager Steve Kean remains hopeful that out-of-contract striker Junior Hoilett will sign a new deal at Blackburn Rovers." - chris

Agree8 Disagree9

Don't believe it-his wage demands are scaring clubs off and he is not worth upsetting the team spirit by meeting them.

Saints want sheffield wed centre back reda johnson, sorce came from his t**tter account.
"need to decide where my futre lies, an owl or saint? "

mike the saint

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Not said any such thing

Agree5 Disagree1

I just went on his t**tter and i dont see anything along those lines.

By posting that on his Tw*ter account he has effectively ruled out the option of being a Saint! Not a smart thing to do.

Theres alot of rumours going around that we want jack rodwel.has anybody got a source.

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Not a chance rodwell would cost up to 15 million or above to even make everton think about selling, he is highly rated within everton only injuries have set back his development. rumours are that moyes could se up a 3 man midfield this season with gibson rodwell and fellani

Agree4 Disagree1

Man utd want both rodwell and fellani

I know people say they wont believe me etc and i can take the abuse that ill get.. but we all have our own sorces from various places, and i cant say where mine has come from.
but i know that southampton have enquired about signing huddersfields 22 years old goalkeeper alex smithies.
its only an enquirey at the point, and maybe not go anywhere. but its worth keeping an eye out. you heard it here 1st - chris

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has put Premier League clubs on alert after admitting they may have to sell.

Lennon says the commercial shortfall created by Rangers' demotion means some players may need to be sacrificed.

He said: “The commercial loss that comes with losing four Old Firm games may mean we have to sell."

Southampton are keen on striker Gary Hooper, while Victor Wanyama is wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Saints dont want hooper now. weve all known that since we got jay rod - chris

Agree10 Disagree4

I wouldn't be surprised if NA tried to get him again, Even if that means we have 5 strikers fighting for spots.

Agree5 Disagree5

Would be great competition or strikers with Lambert, Sharp, Rodriguez and Hooper.... Lee can play wing plus if Lambert gets injured we need goals to keep coming! Eases pressure on Lallana anyway plus I'm sure one of these could play "in the hole".......

Agree1 Disagree3

Steve is currently in london working on some projects for the london olympics. this is fact and not fake, i know this as im also friends on fb with him . this morning he was tagged in a localtion at university of westminster gym. - chris

Agree4 Disagree1

I know what i saw. also i have him on FB and he was in Westminster 23 hours ago plus he would not be aloud to tag himself at st marys if it was for a signing, also the memorial cup is on Saturday so he is not going to be anywhere else is he?
