heard some rumours about Alderweireld from a couple of people who are usually more right than wrong about saints transfers

Apparently, spurs had a bid accepted and were talking terms but saints put in a late bid matching spurs' (somewhere between €12-€15mil) which was accepted and it looks like he's chosen saints over spurs. Reckons the club are hopeful he'll join up with the squad before they leave for Austria

Just how true this is I don't know. Not sure if any of the ed's know anything about this or not?

Dunno where SaintySaintSaint's source is, but mine is from the forums. There's an ITK who called Juanmi, Cedric Soares and Stekelenberg before they all happened, and he's done the same for Toby today.

The 'lateness' was probably due to the fact that his loan didn't finish with us, and thus those terms, until July 1st. So not really late at all. I know AM have sold a CB, but they're looking at bringing in the Monaco chap we were interested in, so reckon Toby is off 100%. If Koeman is to be believed, he'll choose Saints over Spuds.
