Gallagher widely reported to be going out on loan this season. If this is true SFC must be seeking another striker!

Gallagher would do well going on loan. As for attackers (note I say attackers not strikers as theae players would be adaptable) we have Pelle, Jrod, Long, Rodriguez, Juanmi, Mane, Tadic, McQueen

Am I missing anyone?

Gallagher going on loan does not mean we will get another striker - CB is the critical position currently.

We have plenty of striker cover - and could always play with a false 9 with our attacking players - if plagued by injuries.

Normally only use 1 striker anyway! :-)

Makes sense for Gallagher to get a loan (with a recall option). He missed the best part of a year of his development due to serious injury last season. It seems like he didn't impress the manager enough in early pre-season to make the squad to tour Holland, so why not try and get him some games against men, in the Championship or even L1.

Even if it's only for half a season, as long as he's playing regularly, that'll be so much better for him than U21 games and perhaps the odd 10 minutes off the bench in a cup game for the first team.

I had thought Seager would've been a good bet to go out on loan this season, but he's injured right now - don't know how seriously.

Pelle, Long, Rodriguez, Juanmi, Mane - they've got plenty of options who can play down the middle, especially as they usually only play one up.

Is Mayuka still with us? Stephens has been given his number from last season and he didn't travel to Holland with the squad. Not that I think we'd miss him; we've got two good players (well, with Cuco that's still to be seen) in every position, except CB - desperately need one, or preferably two, in that position as soon as possible. But everyone knows that.
