Hope this is not true but hearing we have approached stoke for Peter Crouch. Also reports in scotland suggest were interested in dundees young defender Josh Lloyd-Mann.

Unless we are planing on painting the stadium and the council won't let us get scaffolding I can't see any other reason we would want Peter crouch.

I'd take Crouch all day long!

I know he is 35 but he is tall, wins headers.
Long, Boufal and Redmond could all play off him.
Experienced.
Could play and cause problems in Europe.
I'd also take Rickie Lambert back.
Either/ or.

Type of forward we are looking for if you ask me.
Name a better forward at winning balls in the air and scoring goals at this level with experience.

I think that we need to bring in a CF as a priority and then this young lad for the future :)

I know they have promised one more signing; it has to be a CF
If we get a CF in it will really give us a chance to make a push this season!

I think there is more chance of Koeman begging to come back here to manage than us signing Peter Crouch . Crouch is 36 in 4 months, you are joking aren't you? Why not SRL at 34 if you are going down that road . Never going to happen.,

No no no. We need cover in defence. With Fonte and Van Dijk on the pitch against Sunderland we still conceded a goal. I know it was a pen, but we need to shore up at the back. If Jay Rod stays, we will be ok. Granted, not GREAT, but we need cover at the back as a priority over the striker. If we lose Fonte or VD to injury, or God forbid both, we haven't enough strength in reserve.

Mark, taking crouch or lambert back is daft talk. We are in Europe, we have drawn Inter, we can't take those guys and expect to cause an upset. They don't get picked for their current clubs in the league so why would we want them? Love for both as saints players past, but we need to be realistic .

Sakho on loan would be good. Probably a better shout than mangala but I'd like to see us use the loan market if there are good options to. We need at least one more and certainly in defence.

I'm just thinking this could give that 'something different' that causes worry to defences.
Especially in Crouch, his height and his aerial ability is up there among the best around.

I'm not saying this is an answer to our CF issues, but if there was a deal to be done at a 'reasonable' price (god knows what that is these days) I'd take a punt, definitely.

Never harms to have that extra option in the wings to use if we need to try and make something happen.
