It's been over 72 hours since our Dejan got stroppy like a spoilt princess. Does anyone know if the Koeman brothers have frogmarched him, Spider and Oz to our brand Harry spankers training ground yet for a spot of Field punishment no. 1?

Don't be so harsh about him, Lovren was brilliant last season and may well return to the club after speaking with Koeman and apologise for his statements. It's not personal, give him some slack!

What are you his mum the guys a door handle!

Where did you hear he has apologised? Or that he might not go? I would have thought he has now made his role completely unassailable with what he said

Granted, Lovren should not have come out and said those things. But remember it was a hell of a coup to get him at all let alone at that money, and it was because he bought into 'the project' and the ambition. Now those people who brought him here have all gone as well 3 of our best players. Can't blame him for being pissed off. I'm just hoping once meeting RK he'll buy into his plans.

"Hell of a coup to get him at all"?? He was seen as a player who had some issues with authority, that's why other clubs had not gone for him. Saints gave him a second chance, which he was pleased to take and then, at the FIRST opportunity looks to jump ship for more money. That is it in simple terms, his version is purely smoke and mirrors to cover his own greed.

Read what I said again.
There is no reason to be starting up a hate campaign over one of our players when he is still part of our club, he may well (hypothetically, this means it hasn't actually happened) apoligise for what he said and return to the club better than ever because Koeman persuades him to stay. OR you could be right and Lovren decides to leave.

Neither are reason to hate him or be abusive.
Súarez did this last year, wanting to leave for Real Madrid or Barcelona, however he ended up staying and now the fans love him.

You can believe what you like, just don't openly abuse people. This is a sport, not a playground!

I like LuckyFinn's perspective - we all have a right to be free from abuse

It's a job to many and money attracts, Gordon Strachan summed it up when he said there's no loyalty anymore, although there's been none since football became a multi-media franchise when the EPL was formed IMO
Best wishes to all saints fans

I have no problem at all that players want to better themselves. I have no problem that they may see their futures elsewhere.

I have a problem if they do not conduct themselves like adults in the process. To bite the hand that feeds you in such a way as this is not just rude, its downright disrespectful to the fans who have cheered you throughout the season.
Look at M.S. he has conducted himself in a dignified and respectful manner. I would be far more upset about him going. But. If he does I wish him well.
