After finally calming down from the news which left me truly devastated. It's time to take stock, I think Le Tiss has summed it up and put everything into perspective. After buying into Cortese' plans I think we've all got a bit carried away with delusions of grandeur and with pochettino leaving, it makes you wonder if any top manager or player is only ever going to use the club as a stepping stone in their careers. Yes we do have a good infrastructure and to date we have very good players so with the right manager we could be back on track.
Part of me wonders if the search for a new manager has been going on for sometime already and with Jason Dodd getting sacked, maybe it's all part of a big plan!
Krueger and Reed are yet to impress me although it's early days still. It would just be nice if they came out now that this '5 year plan' has come to an end, and tell us all what we are really aiming for!

1.) Ralph said Europe is the goal. He reiterated it twice in his interview.

2.) I think if they had a manager in mind and almost tied him down, he would say. He's been banging on about an honest approach at saints, so can't see him having somebody ready to step in

3.) Ok, so now I've seen the interview. Yes there are obviously big things going on behind the scenes, but being left to wonder for so long it was always going to be concerning.
These days I guess you don't have to be a football man to run a club/ business, but for me hearing his accent and some of his answers like they've just come straight out of some positive speech manual and even the way he says 'The Saints'. It all just doesn't feel right. But that all being said I think our great club will be just fine.
I wouldn't be too naive Saintsmiff, there are far more things that happen at football clubs than we would ever know!

Super Rickie is no doubt a Saints Legend. On his amazing journey to where he is now, I wouldn't begrudge him this move. There the only club he would leave us for.
To get £9m for him at his age, I think everyone's done well.
Good luck SRL, thanks for the memories.

What makes you think that Koeman is expecting to rely only on youth? One thing is for sure he knows a lot more about football than you. I know this summer has been frustrating so far, but there is still time. For some of the players the writing has been on the wall for sometime and I'm sure the club have known that long before we have. So I'm sure replacements are close. Have some faith. Koeman is not going to set himself up to look a mug, come the Liverpool game he'll be prepared. There's no doubt next season is going to be a transitional period, but with our great support I'm sure we will be comfortable.

Granted, Lovren should not have come out and said those things. But remember it was a hell of a coup to get him at all let alone at that money, and it was because he bought into 'the project' and the ambition. Now those people who brought him here have all gone as well 3 of our best players. Can't blame him for being pissed off. I'm just hoping once meeting RK he'll buy into his plans.

Is it any wonder Ed0002 is a bit short with some of the members. 90% of posts are utter gash!
