He will almost certainly accept the job. Can't see any way round this one.

Hiddink hasn't been sacked yet and has only just started, so he won't be sacked for a while, Koeman wouldn't be the only candidate anyway, I'm sure Frank De Boer would be on that list

Ronald Koeman is on record as wanting the national job and Frank de Boer has actually said that RoKo should have had the job when they appointed Gus Hiddink. I am afraid little old Saints wouldn't matter too much to him if he does get offered the job.

Well chrisdownj, that was a good punt!!LOL

WC is gone-why on earth would RoKo want the national job now? Not going to add much to his CV, but success at Saints certainly will. Do you think Woy will get a job at Barcelona because he can get the national team beating amateur players?
RoKo is a pretty intelligent guy, the media are fools-you need to remember it is this way round.

I will wave the white flag Saint Martin and agree totally with you. I have been so used to the likes of Harry the Hood etc. going anywhere to make mega money that I thought that might happen here. I was dead wrong and I apologise for thinking that way. Ronald Koeman is a top man, trustworthy and a great asset to SFC. Can't be right all the time can I ? LOL

Chrisdownj I can't believe you could think Ron would leave after we spent the summer trying to convince the masses he would not only save us but improve us. As I said in a summer post the Dutch do not lie and they do not rubbish. Ron is a class act and we should enjoy while he is here. Next stop for him is Barcelona in two to three years. Meanwhile I hope today is going to stop all doubters fretting and we all start to enjoy our team again - 8-0 was not a fluke - everyone in a red and white shirt was outstanding. Can't wait for motd to see it again.
