Their is due dilligence and then their is sekking the crown jewls before the new king is appointed and cannot be blamed for said annual sale. Maybe Pelle will be sold or Bertrand and then possibly the board will deign to tell the devoted paying public what the #*@% is going on with our club.

Calm down Jonah, live within your means and use the excellent scouting like we are renown for and all will be ok. Spend big and break the wage structure and you may get short term glory but end up buggered like our blue neighbours! Trust the board as we are a well run club envied throughout the leagues and improving each year!

I will calm down when the 46 million pound debt goes down due to player sales and when the board don't keep the fans in the dark with less communication than the local hermit Krueger and Reed sit like oberlords with complete vontempt for the fans spewing rubbish about being having a dialogue with its supporters they are more secretive than the illuminati. I don't need the ins and outs but this is dragging on longer than is needed.

If they want Puel he is out of work and so is De Boer and the rest that are paraded as candidates are dross that would put us back 20yrs. Inform us of decisions like selling players reassure us the money will be reinvested. Yes we bought Redmond but will the new manager be keen on him?

Simple small releases of information to assure the fans is surely the minimum of interaction required but no our great board act with total contemp. Those that follow blindly often fall down holes those that question the person in front avoid them and travel a smoother path. Not much to ask for is it.

The reason is the board don't have a plan till offers are made on our talent then they know if they have to buy someone that needs a stepping stone club.

Even koeman when he verbally agreed to sign a new contract knew that wanyama, mane and probably pelle would be sold. No firesale, no crisis. Just a plan that has been set out, and followed through, just like it has been for the past 5 years. Promotion, another Promotion, survival, progression, European qualification 2 years running. Financial stability, selling players at a profit and above their market value. New targets identified, scouted and recruited. New manager to come on and take us to the next level AGAIN! How are "fans" still crying about our situation? Bore off, go and support man city, or pompey, or Liverpool. Whatever. I like how our club operates and like the direction that we are heading. We are trying to get to the position that players and managers don't wish to leave but want to stay here and be succesfull. Or we could just do a Liverpool and spend obscene amounts of money. and come 8th. we aren't big enough in terms of revenue and fanbase that we can compete with the big clubs the same way they do it. So we have to find our own way of competing with a fraction of money. AND IT'S WORKING!

Wandering saint, why would I be up beat? We have sold 2 of our best players and a very very good manager oh and brought in a winger,
I support saints because I was born here and they are my team and love football.
I am passionate about saints and care for my team and don't agree with how we are literally the biggest selling club/ stepping stone club in Europe possibly world football it is embarrassing.

Sick of seeing ex saints players/ managers representing other clubs!

I have never ever been less motivated as a lifelong Saints fan in all my life.

You should be upbeat because we have an extremely well run club that lives within its means, and a board which has been nothing but successful over the past 5 years. We have a scouting department which consistently finds quality players for half their true value. We are then able to sell them on for around double their (new) value. We can’t keep hold of them (AT THE MOMENT) because we can’t offer £220k pw, or Champions League. It’s that simple – for now.

We are building slowly but surely. We know this is the plan. Boom and bust never works, unless you have an endless supply of (oil) money, which we don’t.

If we signed Messi and Iniesta, you would be slagging them off and calling them “has beens” and expressing terror at our future, and these players have no sell on value.

Your latest post on the rumours page is an absolute disgrace, speculating who will be sold next January/ Summer. Why on earth would any Saints fan say that?! It really beggars belief. I have no wish to argue with a fellow fan, but you just cannot possibly be a fan. You actually posted in 2014 that you didn’t expect us to win many games that season – we qualified for Europe. Three days ago you posted that you hope we have a bad season “to teach the board a lesson. ” WTF? Really! You’ve now posted that you were born here and love the club, yet 2 weeks ago you posted that you wished you were born somewhere else! You’ve moaned about the club losing Managers and that we’re unlikely to get a quality replacement, yet 3 weeks ago you posted that you couldn’t blame RK for leaving as EFC were tripling his money. Every single post is like this, review your work, you don’t seem very familiar with it. Apparently you’re now less motivated than ever – which must mean less motivated than wanting our team to lose games.

Jeeze I'm not going to explain every post that I have ever written on here I know how I feel and that I support saints just don't agree with stripping the club every transfer window and if you think we are building and there is going to be a big change one day then your wrong if we were going to make a step up it would have been now with all the TV and Europa money,
You keep believing what you think who's told you this master plan your preaching because it didn't come from our SO informative board that's for sure?

My theory is the board want to keep us in the premier league (the biggest shop window in the world) promote us as an obvious stepping stone club for players and managers especially to managers that bring through our youth as that is where the bigger profit margins are. Ronald didn't do this so probably wasn't liked by the board.

You remember all of this as it ticks all the boxes.

You want something positive from me I like the new kits :)
