I hate losing games especially to teams we should be beating (and we're beating) BUT most of all its the way we are playing we are absolutely Donald Trump it's horrible to watch so pridictable no heart, no passion the whole team just doesn't give a toss just collect the big money and drive of in their Bentleys and forget about the fans that scrap and save and work all week in jobs we don't like looking forward to seeing our team fulfil our dreams playing in Europe was something we've prayed for for years then when we have it the manager and team mess it up big time (we shoulder, have killed that group) the only player that really wanted that was virgil and you can see that even he has got that why should I bother if you lot don't look in his eyes. I hate being negative but I can't see where the improvement is going to come from its finally bit us in the ass selling our best and THEN selling their repacements the cuboard is bare THERE IS NO STARS IN THE ACADEMY there hasn't been any for years the academy can supply championship or lower league teams but they can't play regularly for the first team.

McQueen can't play regularly no? Sims? Target (when fit)
Then you've got ginger and Stephens . Gallagher banging them in at Blackburn.
You forget what level we were playing at when bale, ox and Walcott played for us. They certainly weren't stars and couldn't even get into the premier league teams they were sold to. It's potential rather than actual performances.
The academy is producing far more high level performers than ever before. Let them grow before judging.

I totally agree.

Bale is world class and we should be proud as he's from the academy. Walcott hasn't reached his potential. Although I wouldn't complain if we were to signore him. Although you look at Ox and it looks like he could move from Arsenal. Same with Chambers he's gone backwards.

The trouble is we're now in a position where we don't have time to bring youth players through the first team like we did 5 seasons ago. You look at JWP. He's had the potential for the past 5 seasons. However, hasn't registered himself as a first team player.

You may not class these current academy players as future stars. However, they've all come through together giving them a lot more chemistry than order academy teams. As I've said I think Puel is the man for the job. I didn't like how Koeman didn't play academy players.

I'd rather bring through young academy players and watch themy grow. Then spend money on a players that might just have a little bit more quality than academy players.

Be careful what you wish for, reed looked like a fish out of water at bmth until Davis came on, I'm all for home grown talent but not at all cost having millions in the bank to play youth is commendable but sucidal.

You are talking about players from a long time ago the last real star from the academy was luke Shaw nobody else is even close to that quality. JWP takes a great free kick he NEARLY score's every time but NEARLY doesn't count he is an under 21 international but he will never make the full squad other academy graduates go out on loan to lower league teams they are all in their 20s in the past if they were good enough to play in the 1st team in there teens. So I stand by what I said before THERE ARE NO STARS IN THE ACADEMY THE CUBOARD IS BARE.

Premier league has evolved to such a high standard of fitness and strength that most sub 23 year olds cannot cope week in week out but if we give up on our academy we will always have to replenish players costing millions.

In the past when they were teens saints weren't not a mid table premier league team full of international players.
