Sekou Mara is one of the answers to our prayers, incoming for €13m whilst hopefully saving GdB in the process. More a Broja type, raw and a risk, but we will still have funds to maybe nab a more experienced forward as well.

Murmurs of another fullback and attacking mid, but I think we get maybe one more after Mara, who again looks an excellent prospect and someone we can sell on for good money in the future.

It is a risk, but also an opportunity.

More worryingly, as others have said, Ralph still seems to have lost the plot playing people out of position and mucking around unnecessarily.

Our XI in two weeks, I would hope, is something like;
Bazunu
KWP, Salisu, ABK, Perraud
JWP, Lavia
Aribo, Stu
Adams, Arma/Mara.

Of course that relies on everyone playing in position and Ralph using a sensible formation and not picking Redmond. Which is highly unlikely.

I mean, it’s the first two games of pre-season, it’s more for giving everyone minutes, getting everyone up to match fitness and a chance to prove themselves than finalising the team and playing everyone in proper positions

If there’s still no settled shape/lineup vs Villarreal, then yeah there’s a problem but not now

I’d agree that on paper that side is the best though

Strange that Saints announce Mara signing ‘in principle’? Normally it’s a signing photo shoot, shirt holding, interview reveal.
