I will call it now - if there is no meaningful improvement by match 10, then Boy Still needs to go.

Pre-season and 10 games is enough to take stock of the squad and embed a style of play. After 7 games there is no sign of anything positive. Yes, there has been the odd glimmer of hope (the newbie CBs) but the culture and mentality is no better than it was last season.

Yes, I am expecting a backlash because most fans would give Boy Still longer - much longer.

But I wouldn't - he simply hasn't the experience to draw upon at this level.

If our underwhelming form continues we may as well write off this season.

Decent bloke that he is but as someone once said, if you want to be popular, go and sell ice creams.

Bring back Nathan Jones or Juric! Look at how their teams are doing!

If we benchmark vs fellow relegated teams with experienced championship managers, we are 3 points behind (if Ipswich win their game in hand) . That's the difference.

Time to draw a line with the scar tissue, players adjusting, experimentation time etc.

I think Still deserves 15 games but he needs to be top 10 by then, then in and around playoffs by 30 games.

Hopeful for a good run now.
