So Rodgers thinks he can get players on the cheap from Saints Why would Nat Clyne want to go there
Liverpool are not a big club anymore and have not been for sometime now

Try calling Rickie Lambert and ask what its like playing for liverpool. oh that's right Rodgers never plays him. so who in their right mind would sign for such a club.

I don't see what they hoped to achieve by making such a poor bid, they must've known it was never going to accepted, it sounds like he's going to stay now which is a positive so we can build on what we have which is great!

U won't 20mil
Ill offer 10mil
Then we will meet in the middle 15mil
Just how haggling works.
If clyne wanted to stay he probably would have singed months ago
Frustrating for fans but its how it works

i must of missed LFC bids of 10m for lovren and 14 for lallana. they have fully lost the plot up there.

Last season liverpool sold suarez and had champions league they felt flush and didn't haggle similar to spurs when they sold bale.
But I was just saying it is similar to when u look at a car on a forecourt u would not just pay wot they ask u try a lower price and a good way of doing that is to test the water and offer well below then the seller will reply with a price he is willing to accept.
On top of that when AL DL RL was with saints motd pudits sky pudits and all the rest hyped them all season.i haven't heard the same hype about clyne (i ain't saying he ain't as good).so the bidding will be different in approach.

Sorry to go on but there were bids rejected till keoman was on board

I understand how haggling works but we are in full control here so can set the minimum price we want for the player so it's more like pay what we want so £20-25m or don't bother, hopefully he'll sign a new contract soon anyway

We are far from in control if we reject all bids and clyne stays but don't sign a contract extension then next year he will leave for free then sign with who he wonts and get himself
a much higher payday.we need him to have more than a year left to run on his contract to be in a good position.
and it is quite clear he has held off signing an extension to most clubs so they will circle like vultures.

Our board will not risk losing him for free they will sell.i won't nothing more than our best players to stay and to build on wot is already there.and I think clyne is helping buy telling press he is happy to stay so we can get the best price for him.

Suspect Clyne is waiting for todays result, and if Saints make Europe will sign contact extension pretty smartish.

Could be right saint martin I read clyne made a comment that he see no reason we can't compete as a top team in the prem .i personally think he's learnt to play hardball through his agent no such a bad thing.but he was part of the team that still faded away second part of the season.mane's form was a life saver
