If Ron stays what will we say, did he speak to Everton did he not. Will we ever know if he stays be nice for someone to be honest if he has turned down an extension and the club feel 3m compensation is more valuable than a year of his time will they say that. He said players would see out their contracts or sit in the stand would the club do the same to him. If he goes hope he takes Sammy Lee with him love to see him celebrating if and when Everton actually score and win a game. Shouldn't be allowed to leave until replacement in place as that is the stance we take with a player and should be the same for him.

If Koeman doesn't want to be here, then move on. For what it's worth, I think he will sign a contract extension, that keeps him here for another two years, but with the understanding that if Barca/ Arsenal/ Holland/ (Insert big job here) come in for him, we will let him leave. By moving to Everton he closes a lot of these potential doors in the near future, and unless he thinks Everton's proposal is so good, he is willing to close those doors.

I agree, like any player if they don't want to be at saints then jog on, Ronald de boer will do me.

Saints0001, Of course he spoke to Everton they're offering him £6m a year. The thing now is, who wants him more, Everton or Southampton? I would suggest that the deafening silence from Southampton says it all. Also if Southampton had not given permission for talks to go ahead do you honestly think they would have been this quiet?

I agree and disagree Mike, in all honesty I think it is absolutely certain that RK has not spoken to anybody at Everton . On the other hand his money grabbing agent almost certainly has . Just hope the board at SFC handle this properly and don't ( as you quite rightly say ) go and hide in the cupboard under the stairs and say nothing publicly about the situation . It is at times like these where we the supporters who pay good money to support our club are just ignored . Just like the government in some ways who make all the decisions but really don't want the general public involved . Football has gone mad and these people that come in from all over the world flashing their billions should be capped from ruining the game . I unfortunately blame the TV magnates for nearly all of it .

Absolutely agree with birchsaint here. I don't see Everton as a step forward and all it will do is hold him back if arsenal, barca, Madrid, Holland etc come calling. He has made his name now, he is attracting interest and big money, personally I would suggest sitting tight at saints, seeing what next season will bring and considering an extension with us if the board are prepared to back him or not. I would think a shift to Everton is like spinning the wheels on a fruit machine, getting a great roll and then literally pushing the "shuffle" button in the hope it pays out more. He could massively come unstuck at Everton and for what? More money? He would pick up more than they are offering at Barcelona or arsenal!

At the end of the season RK said he now wanted Saints to "show some ambition" that they really wanted to be in Europe and what have Saints come out with? Les Reed has stated that they are working hard on some interesting loan deals. Hardly showing ambition. He must be tempted by Everton's huge pot of cash.

Scrub 31 he cannot speak to Everton without permission from the club. His agent can and pass on the infoo but he can't. We can refuse permission and we should what is the worry is why would he want to go to a mid table at best team with shit facilities and a new owner with debt for a new ground rather than stay? The truth from all would be nice 😄.
