I've just heard that J Rod has picked up an injury again. I do hope this isn't true, I've googled it and big found anything so hope it's just pub talk. Anyone got any news on this? I know he played recently and looked better. Nothing picked up in front of a crowd so must be a training niggle if anything?

Word from the man himself (Although I'm not the directed recipient of said word) is that he missed yesterday's groningen friendly because he was "feeling unwell". Make what you want of that but that's how far the club and jay himself are saying at this stage.

Nothing wrong with JRod - as Saint Martin has reported he's on the bench. Looks like in the first half Tadic is playing behind Redmond and Long up front. Yoshi started and is doing ok.

Methinks that either at the start of the 2nd half JRod and Austin will come on and Redmond and Long depart or they will get a run out later on. Saints starting line up is doing quite well. Formation and tactics are slowly but surely starting to work. in for an interesting 2nd half. I can also see McCarthy our new goalkeeper getting a run out.

Rodriguez came on at the 70 minute mark and played a good 20 mins behind the striker.
